To be fair you did play much better last time out as the game moved along and given this is a full on Dublin in transition team you definitely have a shot at winning tomorrow as it is truly impossible to know what to expect from Dublin at the moment. Hopefully we will get to enjoy a good game and we will see how things pan out but hopefully its a good watch.

Bit disappointed eire4 with your sporting attitude. Was hoping for a bit of verbal jousting there, a sort of Forker v Murphy stuff without the *. May the best team win tomorrow... as long as it's Derry.

Haha your a class act An Madadh Rua cracked me up reading that. Well in the end we certainly did get an entertaining game with a pretty big score. From a Dublin perspective again its early doors but the signs with this new look team are certainly promising. The trip to Armagh next will be another interesting test for the new Dublin players. For yourselves you can get some decent tallies on the score board but you will need to shore up the back line for sure although your keeper did have a bit of a nightmare yesterday which helped us.

Diplomatic and sporting as ever eire4 though I appreciate you must have been conflicted about this one as I know Derry are your second team. It was a * show, a complete system failure from Derry. Who knew plucking an average outfield club player at intermediate level and asking him to play in goals at senior intercounty level wouldn't work. Playing your most energetic and dynamic No 6 at No 3 and your only mobile midfielder at No 6 doesn't work either surprisingly. Nor does taking a lad who has been tried several times before and not shown anything suddenly become an ever present just because he's 6'7". I could go on but no point, the Tyrone demolition of Derry football is almost complete.

Enjoy the summer, eire4, Dublin look promising. Good pace and excellent movement.

My only consolation this weekend is that it looks like Tyrone are going down with us.

Yes it was a bit conflicting at times how straight forward it was for us. The biggest "what the" for me was your goalkeeper situation that was absolutely insane and to say it back fired spectacularly is being generous. For sure on our end it does look promising. Considering the large number of new players we are bringing into the team it has been very encouraging. But I am not going to get too excited this is a genuinely new team and its not realistic to expect us to be consistent. No one could expect that this new Dublin team could ever be anywhere near the level of our "golden generation" so to speak that is just not realistic but it does look like we may actually have a team that can be competitive when it comes to the All-Ireland. Staying up does unfortunately look like an uphill task for your lads now but one I do really hope you can pull off. Really the game against Donegal is do or die time. You simply have to win that one to have a chance at staying up. Your one consolation as you say at this point is that Tyrone are pretty much as big a mess as you especially as they face an in form Galwasy next up as well.

Thanks for the consoling words, eire4. You'd be a natural as a counsellor. :giggle1:
