Yeah interesting at first but now he just defends the refs or the appeal panel. But because they don't follow up with why is that different to the decision two months ago it's basically allowed.

That run of fouls on Engels

    Not playing advantages

And Idah wasn't offside when the keeper came out to head it

The foul on Jota when he pulled out and the defender kicked his chest instead. The linesman right on it. Wild..

Walsh was ridiculously bad today I thought, and I don't find him too bad in our home games usually..

That advantage where we were clean through was as bad as it gets though. We had a few players arms up, but he should be getting hounded by McGregor and co for how pathetically quick he was to blow..

Guy kicks Engels shin. Nothing to see here..

    Was actually so many..

    Maybe wrong thread.

Will Celtic be looking for answers regarding the foul on Maeda last night? Whether the ref deemed it a foul or not is irrelevant too as it was a head knock so game should be stopped regardless.

40 seconds later they go up and score also. This was to knock Celtic out and could (if) Celtic made it through cost us millions of pounds.

Also arguments for a red card too. Can tell by defenders reaction he knew he smashed him.

Also can VAR go back 40 seconds?

I feel when playing Europes elite in the CL you have to expect decisions not to go your way.

Clear penalty not given last week too. Which Bayern get 100%. Last week we were denied a couple of comers first half and then last night they got 2 after being offside first half. Hard enough task as it is without all the help they get from refs.

I think you do have to expect decisions not to go your way against big teams, if the game isn't going their way. I wonder if it's fear from refs that the big teams will come after them or fear that UEFA will be * the big boys are out early.

After their goal, before we kicked off the ref did have his hand to his ear as if checking something...

We never quite found out what he was checking. Something tells me it wasn't the elbow to Daizen's face though, which 100% should have been checked, and brought back for a free kick and a yellow card.

Would’ve been just an offside check, every goal scored is checked.

Noticed the big defender checking on Maeda and must have been feeling bad for clocking him (which makes me think it was a genuine accident.) I think if the same situation but other way a goal for us would have been chopped.

Did I just imagine that (quite possible) however for the first 70 mins did both linesmen follow the rule that for offsides they don't put their flag up until a break in play ? Then after we got it back to 2-1 one linesman just started giving instant offsides against us without waiting for a break in play ?

Nope. Rodgers went over and directly started calling him out on it..

I thought the officials were scandalous today. McLean felt at it all game..

Anytime their 2 up top fell, he blew the whistle..

The point is now....Whether its out or not.....What made them say a lineman's call wasn't good enough....So we overruled and gave No goal on actual conclusive evidence?

What if that was a in a Final? Even if it was Hibs and Celtic Cup final and Hibs were in that position....You would be raging.

So now we overule a linesmans call?

    * disgusting.....In or Out

Will be very interesting to see the evidence they're concluding it's out from.

As was showing by Japan's goal v Spain, a ball can look out (particularly from behind the play) when part of the ball is still in

We should push through the sackings of the whole VAR team from that by taking it all the way and demanding better evidence.

Theres not a chance anyone can tell the ball went out there, it's impossible. You would literally need goal line technology.

It’s an absolutely ridiculous decision. There’s no way you can say that angle was conclusive evidence. I would say the same the other way round if it was called out by the linesman, there’s no way that angle would confirm the ball was in play to award us the goal.

I’d love to hear the explanation for this one. Ridiculous.
