Proper quality champions league campaign this year. Really enjoyed it. Some low points but a lot of high points which I can’t remember being able to say in so long with regards to champions league. We’ve given a great account of ourselves and were unlucky in some moments too. Very proud of the coaches and team.

Shows you the luck of the draw. Of course we got Bayern. We’d probably of beaten every other team that played tonight.

What a performance.

Absolutely gutted for the team. No matter what would of happened in extra time they deserved the honour of beating Bayern in Germany over 90 mins.

Rodgers has shown we can compete at that level, board now need to back him again this summer and push on again

 

The calmness, composure and confidence on the ball tonight was what stood out. We had the defensive discipline of the Atalanta game but our play on the ball was unreal tbh.

Just that killer instinct and clinical edge in the box first half let us down but honestly that's as good as we've been away from home in Europe against an elite side.

 

Really felt for both Reo and Engles, totally left it all out there, ran themselves into the ground but had to play 94 min due to nae * on the bench. We so needed fresh legs in the last 15 min. Bernardo would defiantly have come on if fit.
Was even thinking of Taylor on for Reo near the death.

Weird so happy with the performance but pure gutted to lose that, didn't see us doing much in extra time, as think we looked heavy legged with what we put in

But a blatant penalty not given, a freak offside the 1st leg, then those 4 chances the 1st half and a foul aswell as a heads knock putting us down to 10 men right before that undeserved equalizer

 

Exactly after every goal they are supposed to look back to see if theres a foul and why didn't the bring that back to the foul, we'll never know now but maybe they looked at it and said seen the Bayern player never touched daizen.

It's pish if that's the case they don't show us the.camer angle because that's what leads to us saying it's a fix

 

Aside from the bullshit foul on Maeda and the no penalty that should have been given last week— this was a stellar showing and will pave the way for more Euro runs. Keep the core of this unit and build on it.
They’ve learned the required level, they look composed and capable, albeit just a tad short on reserve quality.
