I think ultimately we just lack the quality off the bench to keep pace with a team like Bayern. The front three of Maeda, Jota and Kuhn were brilliant, but the level dropped off noticeably with Yang and Idah.

That ref is a * blatant cheat btw. Seen the foul on Maeda and just blatantly ignored it cause he knew it was pretty much their last attack.

Excellent performance over the 2 legs. Both teams wasted chances but think that Maeda one was the pick of the bunch. If we had gone 2 ahead I think they would have crumbled.

Tierney back and a few decent signings in the summer and we could really do something next season you feel. That Dortmund game aside we have had a great campaign.

See Idah getting a few harsh comments. Thought he played well. Chased everything, defended well, held up best he could. Problem was the game changed and they turned up the pressure.

 

Honestly it's a tough one because Bayern were inevitably going to pin us back. Whether it was Jota or Kuhn, they'd have struggled to get out. .

Not going to blame the subs, it was a tough scenario to come into as an attacking player. They worked hard. As a team they overwhelmed us a bit at the end.

Thought the ref had been largely ok for the game but thought if it was a head knock meant to stop the game. Still the same issue with officiating is the lack of continuity, over and over again.
