Eyal Berkovic

Very good player, better IMO than Hatate; but I've never really liked him as a person. I do still have a soft spot for Bitton and Kayal, though, so I don't think we should judge all Israeli players alike.

 

Weird comparison but nowhere near as good for us as Hatate.
Never had anything good to say about us so let’s not be giving him any credit.

Certainly doesn't sound like he was booed after that goal, so talking * to try and make our fans look bad.

Seen enough of people from that country to know what they're all about. A large proportion of them are arrogant, genocidal scumbags.

 

The comparison is a bit forced, but Hatate is the nearest thing we have to that kind of player these days. The last player we had of a remotely similar level to Berkovic in a creative sense was Rogic IMO. That would be a better comparison.

His personality and his footballing ability can be taken separately: I don't like him much either, but I'd love to have a player like that in our current team.

Comparing them both in their prime? Juninho. Comparing the level they were at when they came to us? Berkovic. Juninho was never the same after that tackle in Spain.
