Said this last night. Neuer was on his line and Idah was 7-8 yards away, at what point does it become stupid that he was "in his line"
Imo Idah wasn't interfering with play.

Offside goal...was the correct decision for me..

    Penalty.. absolute stonewaller for me

Linesman and ref were at it all night..

I don't usually complain about the officials but I thought they were awful last night and any 50/50 went BMs way.

Saying that it was the right result, they are a very good team that dwarf our budget. Wasnt expecting to win but hoped we'd give it a go and we did second half.

Some really good performances and some shockers..

We had to play superbly to get a positive result and we played okay. Ach, well.

I feel the Kane chance from a corner in the first half spooked us and we didn't react properly for the corner they scored from- a taller player should have been marking the far post instead of nobody. Johnston was moved elsewhere.

Credit to Maeda for yet another performance. Sadly, we had no energy in the last 7 minutes for an all-out asssult.

The refereeing favored Bayern a lot, especially in the first half. Smaller decisions and the ruled out goal.

It's hard to blame him or hammer him for the simple reason he's not good enough for this level and should not be asked to play at this level..

Other than Liverpool who I don't think are that special there isn't much better left in the competition. They have a chance

I bet we will let maeda go end of season without a replacement like kyogo. Can see it a mile off. HH

Was it even a corner for Kane's goal?

Johnston was the one who’d been picking up Harry, unfortunately for some unknown reason he lined up in the middle of the goal mouth.

As for whether it’s a corner or not, hard to tell but it went through the legs of one of our players, maybe the ref went on sound or something because it was hard to tell if there was a deflection.

Tell you what, we actually limited them to not many chances. On the whole that was a good pragmatic performance. They are above dortmund and better and they embarrassed us. On another night with a ref and linesman who never had a coupon on a Bayern win and we'd we walking away with atleast a draw or a potential win.

From where we've come in Europe that's a fine performance and not the worst result. Sick of teams coming to Parkhead and pumping us, good to see we gave Bayern a real fright as the game wore on.

Tie is over though. We ain't winning 2-0 in Munich.

Before last night we were unbeaten in 6. Last team to win easily was Real Madrid 2 and a half years ago.

Bring back Sutton as a commentator. Joe Hart done my head in last night.

I’d be resting everyone at the weekend, not arsed if we drop points.

Lets go for it in Germany.

Grand old team to play for
Just watched Kompany's press conference after the game. He speaks very well: measured and honest.

This was a Bayern team with one of the best strikers in the world that cost £90 million. A right winger that cost £50 million. A few other midfielders in the £30-40 million range. They brought Gnabry and Thomas Muller off the bench. Let's be realistic. We played well last night but a few lapses in concentration hurt us. Taylor was a tad unlucky and Olise's goal was what you get for £50 million. The second goal was poor but Kane's movement is outstanding so he has that kind of goal in him.

We were a little but unlucky not to get a draw in the end. I actually disagree with lots of posters in relation to the big calls. The offside and penalty were the right calls for me. I think we missed an O'Riley type last night so that's something for the summer, a good number 10 is essential.

Don't know if my heart would be able to take such a result, but I'll give it a go

So I think the team can take a lot from that performance as you say they did largely limit them and not for two really poor defensive moments who knows.

To beat a giant like that you need everything to go for you on the night and to take your half chances. We were close but just didn’t quite do enough at both ends. One of the Johnston, Jota, Maeda round the keeper or Hatate chances has to go in if not a couple of them.

The offside goal is the rule but that was gutting, what a start that would have been. The penalty is a weird one for me, I don’t think it’s a penalty but by what has been given as a penalty in the CL and even the Johnston one on Silva in the 3-3 Ibrox game it is.

Upemacano gets a toe on the ball but he still stops Engels who is likely favourite from picking up the loose ball, he doesn’t go over the ball but almost goes around it in a dangerous manner. After what Trusty got a penalty against him for at Villa where he won the ball that should have been given.

The corner thing did seem very bizarre Idah had two that were definitely our corners first half given as goal kicks and they got a couple down our end that looked wrong too.

It is frustrating as we were very close to getting a positive result. Hopefully we can go to Munich and avoid an embarrassing defeat and come out the tie with some pride.
