If the players have the same attitude as some of the fans

What's the point turning up might as well give these top teams the victory now

They don't need to be special to put a boatload past us. We're not up to much at the European level, we could have shipped more than 4 to Villa easy. Like I want to believe but I just don't see it happening.

We should have had the team in a room at the training ground watching a compilation video of all the goals Bayern have conceded this season.

It's easily noticable how many they concede from either just basic long balls in behind or even short passes in behind from winning the 2nd ball in midfield.

They are a team who leave themselves wide open at the back.

Then just say, play like that, boot it long over their defence and down the wings every time, whenever we get the chance to pounce on a loose ball in midfield take 1 touch and put it in behind them or down the wing or whoever is free.

    Play completely direct every time.

Basically do everything we don't do normally, don't slow the game down and pass it back, don't think we can hold the ball and pin them in and break them down. Just gamble with every pass constantly that we will get in behind them and we will plenty of times.

Our normal way of playing of passing out from the back, recycling possession to build attacks, holding onto the ball for long spells trying to create openings etc should be completely binned to hit it long constantly and look to run in behind or as soon as we win a ball off them or pick up a loose ball play it forward into a runner.

The way Maeda plays out wide where he usually runs backwards with the ball or always passes it back isn't how we want to play here. We want Jota, Kuhn, Hatate and Engels turning and pinging it forward every oppertunity for someone to run onto. Maybe even put Engels as more of a 10 to win headers down to McGregor or Hatate to then ping it over the top or down the line.

I don't want to see us playing how we normally do at all in this game. We dont want Taylor, Trusty, Johnston and McGregor knocking it about the edge of our own box trying to keep the ball while being pressed and make them drop off us so we can hold the ball and come up the park.

Football is a game of 90 + minutes

You never know what can happen I've seen plenty of it in my 30 years watching the Hoops

We've already pumped a team that's beat Bayern this season. I see no reason we won't win the world cup. Mon the Euros!

    Schmeichel
    Johnston CCV Trusrty Taylor
    McGregor Hatate
    Kuhn Engels Jota
    Maeda
From goal kicks, punt it down the middle to Engels, nod it down and then hit passes first time in behind to Maeda or a wide player. Or if they head the ball do the same it shouldn't matter who wins the header just pounce on the ball and batter the 2nd ball in behind them on the ground or if Engels can flick it on in behind to Maeda try that.

Have them constantly having to run towards their own goal.

When we have the ball at like left-back, have Kuhn and Maeda both go right up the park ready to run in behind. Then either Taylor batter it towards them over the top or Hatate or Jota if they be passed to can turn quick and then they play it if they are in a better area or have a bit more space and time. Same on the other side. I'd have them split up also, like Kuhn wide and then Maeda would go wide the other side so it's always more like a 2 up front with either Jota or Kuhn with Maeda so we always have 2 options to go long to. Then in theory if Maeda gets in down the left he can either run in on goal or Kuhn then should be also running in from the opposite wing for a pass and vice versa with Maeda and Jota, we should be able to have many 2 on 2 scenarions if we play quickly direct and always have 2 guys up the park.

We could still get took apart but we really also should be getting in behind them as we have good counter attacking players and good passers from deeper to actually do damage if we want to. We should be a good counter attacking team.

If we come out taking short goal kicks, tryin to pass through their press, trying to hold possession too much and stuff even if Idah starts up front, would knock the stuffing out you since we are almost never going to be able to win against a team who play the same way as us but with better players and far better subs.

We also tend to get rattled easy and our arses collapse when a team keep winning the ball off us in our own half so don't even try it. Just play purely direct and even if only 20% of our long balls come off thats how it goes.

The arrogance by the German media is unreal. And former bayern players saying Bayern should score 6,or 7 easily tonight ..already have plans for the next round who they play totally dismissing us ..also not first European manager says he hasn't watched any celtic footage from scottish league as it is like a training video the opposition is so poor in out league .I just hope we put a good performance on tonight ..

To be fair it needed to be done, it was killing the atmosphere.

It's not a pantomime we are going to.

Every game this season in it all you thought when he was singing is this has got to stop. It's background noise for pubs or the Kerrydale Suite, it's not getting the crowd up for a march type stuff, nobody was joining in as it felt like you were at a school assembly.

Even the singing of Grace before a game, thats not a before a game song, thats a song for after youve won a Cup final or whatever.

To be fair to him he is a decent singer and good in a pub or that but he shouldn't have been singing before games in the stadium.

Aye he's probably best for the pub pre game

It's bad enough listening to his music an hour before kick off on Celtic tv

I mean, I’m not a fan of the pre-match karaoke. It has a tendency to kill the atmosphere before it’s even begun. I prefer it when it’s allowed to build naturally.

To abuse the guy for it is way out of line though. He’s clearly a fan who enjoys doing what he does. Some people can be such *.

Come kick off I will have convinced myself we have a chance and to the usual cliches you always have a chance.

Right now I am just hoping we don’t get hammered. The gulf in teams means we could turn up tonight, play well and still get beaten heavily.

However, the one thing I hope is that we don’t just turn up and totally shoot ourselves in the foot before the game even gets going. I hope we turn up give a good account of ourselves and at least give them something to think about and see what happens from there.

McGrandles pulled the thing himself, saying he's been getting abuse.

Although he never posted any the abuse he got or anything. Maybe just picked up nocunt wanted him there, as I doubt guys are really sending him abuse.
