Can see the confidence growing in him and I honestly can't wait to see him McGregor hatate with Jota daizen and Khun against the Huns at Celtic park with a score to settle...Jota in particular changes the whole dynamics of the team..you see it already with him and hatate.

Just feels more invested in the club/team recently. Smiling more and his performances are progressively on the up.

I'd love to see a wee reel of his passing since he's been in the door..

The amount of wee flicks and belters he plays round a defence must be wild already. Particularly lately....every game he's taking a whole defence out..

I feel like it’s only lately he’s been doing it. He has that confidence and swagger now.

That’s how I’m confident the open play goals will start flying in, it’s the next stage of his evolution and he clearly has the tools for it.

He's had those passes loads mate. Look at the first half against Leipzig where he kept playing outside of the foot passes that ripped them to shreds. Been loads of games where he's had similar passes..

He's deffo bee doing it more frequently though and no doubt he's much more confident in the jersey..

I always felt the long rangers would come. You wouldn't be surprised if he scored another 5 like that before the seasons out..

    Big game for him tomorrow.

Needs to step up and continue this form on the biggest night of the season.

A peach goal from a set piece for a 1-0 win would be pretty cool

I have a good feeling about his performance tomorrow.
Baptised against Dortmund and now in a very different place

Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany is pleased to see fellow Belgian Arne Engels progressing well at Celtic.

Having emerged from Belgian football through the Bundesliga and English Premier League to achieve at the highest level, winning 89 caps for his country, Kompany is a strong role model to emulate as Engels ponders where his career might take him.

The Bayern manager is well aware of the Celtic midfielder, having first spotted him coming through the youth ranks at Club Brugge.

Now preparing his team to go up against the prospect in the Champions League on Wednesday night, Kompany has stated that Glasgow is a strong proving ground for Engels at this stage of his development

The former Belgium international said, "I'm always happy to see Belgian players do well. If I remember well, I've seen him play in the youth teams for Brugge.

"When I was in Anderlecht, I used to watch the youth team games a lot. There were a couple of great talents on both sides, on Brugge's side but also on Anderlecht's side. It was always good to watch them and imagine what their progression would be.

"I think he's 21 now. He's in the right place. It's the right level. You get a taste of Champions League football. You get a taste of must-win football in the league as well.

"I think for young players, sometimes as important as the talent is the pathway. It doesn't always need to start with the top clubs in the world. I think you start with top clubs in different leagues. That gives you that winning mentality.

"Then you progress if you're ready to progress. He's got a good pathway. Many of the players from the Belgian generation that did well were actually at his age in similar places. It's a good starting point for him."

Engels joined Celtic last summer and has already made 35 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals and assisting 10 more.

Kompany's verdict is a solid indication that Engels made the right move at the right time. It's validation for the player and his advisers.

Added to noted improvement both in his performances and in consistency week-to-week over the last two months, hopes are high that he can progress further in green and white.

A standout display at home to Bayern on Wednesday night would go a long way to further establishing his potential.

As long as he shows for the ball and wants to get involved he’ll be a vital player tomorrow, has experience of playing Bayern and will want to show himself on the biggest stage. He’s been quietly effective for a long time now and is building gradually.

Win, lose or draw tomorrow will be an invaluable learning experience for him.

All of the above... but don't forget how crucial set pieces might be, absolutely have to make the most of any of those opportunities and need good deliveries for that.
