@Foley1888 looks to me like all the uefa cash has been differed. Also the book value of some of the players disposed off reduces the gain, looks also like the reported expenditure figures for some players (except engles and idah) has been exaggerated in media

We can basically withdraw £1million a week for a year and set fire to it and wouldn't affect the running of the club.

It’s possible that the club has told the media a higher figure … that can happen example the transfer between cantona from Leeds to Man Utd was agreed at lower price and Leeds asked Man Utd to portray to media it was a lot more so Leeds fans wouldn’t go ape *

And am pretty sure the huns add the wages on to the portrayed deal aswell

So my understanding of this is that some not all of the revenue from UEFA is still to be shown. Performance for games 5-8 is to be added so €3.5m, (£2.9m) and then final league placing €4.5m (£3.75m) and another €1m for making the playoffs (£0.8m) so prize money alone we are due another £7.45m at least.

I don’t know if the TV money from the Euro and rest of world pools has been paid or not. If it hasn’t that be another €13.4m (£10.7m) or it maybe a cut of that due. We will also be due around £2.6m at least from the Bayern tie in ticket sales that won’t be in there and we have had two Scottish cup home ties which add to revenue.

So there is definitely around £10m from CL we are due that we wouldn’t have got last season.

The cash reduction has simply come from the investment in capital assets over £8m (Barrowfield) and player purchases were up. It looks like we agreed to pay up sizeable amounts of cash upfront on the deals we have done.

Based on the balance sheet we have increased our long term receivables by £11.6m and net gains show we are up by £5.3m in terms of both long and short term receivables vs payables.

Our intangible asset value has also gone up by just under £14m.

Our overall assets are up by £30m whilst only increasing liabilities by £7m. Accumulated profits are up by £23.5m as well from this time last year.

Basically I would expect that our cash balance will be back up by the year end and the revenue will be at a record level come the end of the year and the fact it is lower is due to the new CL format meaning more Euro football played after Christmas.

Match day is up by just under £2m on last year, multimedia is where the Euro money is largely shown and that is down for the half year by £3.5m but by the end of the season will be higher than last year. Merchandise is down very slightly less than £200k this year so far.

Basically it is a picture of a point in time you would expect that by the end of the season profits will reduce but cash at bank will be up again and revenue for the second half of the season will be higher than last year.

Mental to think that the money in bank has made the club 5m basically Rodgers wage is paying for itself …. Is this the plan to make money off the interest every year

I reckon £80m to £85m give or take. Unless there is a big purchase before year end when the summer transfer window opens in June which is a possibility.

As foley said looks like we have paid a chunk upfront for the new players.

@Foley1888 am shocked at the £21.5m profit for disposals we must have had something with NBV or remaining payments or settlements due to others?
