If he's out of contract in the summer, I'd be happy to offer him a deal as Tierney's back up if he carries on how he's started.

He'll get plenty of game time.

He will prove to be a shrewd signing.

I was wondering if we'd play him inverted like Taylor, since he's not actually played LB for years, just CM and LM, but a much more physical option. Even CM beside McGregor to give the defence more cover against Bayern.

I think that is a very good idea. I have suggested it myself too. Would give Bayern something to think about. Double pivot.

Bayern game is way too soon for him, given the lack of games he’s played this season. He shouldn’t be near the starting eleven for it.

He will play a part domestically though.

Hopefully he does well to the end of the season. Think he could be a handy signing. Taylor looks set to go so we will need a back up left back, but the fact he can slot in a few positions is a big plus in my opinion. We don’t really have anyone like that who can fill in at a few positions.

Aye would he happy with him as a kind of cover player for a few positions next season and have Anderson as our 2nd left back. Means we could have an experienced guy to step in for games were we feel Anderson wasn't ready.

Think with some players you can tell right away that they are at least competent and assured straight away. He looks it.

Hes not comfortable with the new system and way of playing..yet looks comfortable. Wait until he's actually comfortable and fully understands it with ease. Then we'll be well impressed. So far I'd say offer him a contract. Looks great.

Good start, early days not been actually tested defending as a LB..

Think he'll be a good signing though..

Was a good game to bed him in.

Got into the midfield a lot although didn't look quite sure what he was meant to be doing when there, the odd time I thought switched off a bit when in midfield like forgetting he also was left-back and I thought also maybe played beside and behind McGregor a wee bit much rather than moving ahead and around him into space to give more options, was sometimes just standing about and sometimes getting in the way.

But decent probably for the first time ever playing like that about 400 games into his career. McGregor will probably help him get better positionally and at making runs ahead and even watching Taylor over a few games he'll pick up whats expected more.
