No interesting results. A couple of teams had to work hard but no shocker results. Southampton losing to a championship team doesn't count for me as that's what they are at best.

Think they said he wasn't 100% fit yet when he came on.

He starts the odd game, otherwise usually comes off the bench. I think he's doing okay without pulling up any trees. Brighton have a lot of quality in midfield though.

19 year old boy starts ahead of him, not a great look. He will find his feet though, he’s operating much lower in the midfield for them which isn’t where he thrives. But he’s too good not to show his quality. I seen an article in October in the Athletic saying Brighton believe hik and Baleba have the level to be their best ever midfield which is huge praise when you see the midfielders they hage had recently.

Feels like transfers are so rare now compared to 10 year ago. The product of inflated prices for * players. You got world class for 40m 15 years ago now you get Elliot Anderson (good player but if thats 40m we are in trouble).

A couple of injuries so people moved in front and kept their place.

I felt with some of the decisions so far the refs far to reliant on var so now can't referee without.

Birmingham Newcastle wouldn't have it as their ground doesn't have it but that decision was dubious.
With the Brighton goal, I thought it had to be a handball by the goalscorer so an accidental handball in the lead up may not get it disallowed.

Like our own cups now though. Think the gulf between divisions is just getting bigger and bigger

Think the Anderson deal was some dodgy agreement between Newcastle and forest. A keeper also moved between the two aswell and I’m sure someone else. All based around this new financial youth ruling. Remember reading an article on it before (I’ll see if I can find it again) but made total sense.

especially when you factor in Anderson’s games played/prospects up until that point

I remember watching Sky Sports News when Fernando Torres moved from Liverpool to Chelsea for 50 million. I remember thinking then that football has completely gone to *.
No player was...or even is....worth 50 million pound. It was actually sickening. Then Liverpool took 30 million of that and signed Andy Carroll. Just baffling.
    That was in 2011.

Since then Neymar's move from Barca to PSG was 200 million. Kylian Mbappe was getting paid £1,900,000 a week when he was at PSG....thats £11,309 an hour...£188.49 a minute....£3.14 a second.
There's no coming back from that. The gulf between these transfers and contracts and reality can only keep getting bigger cause no one wants a pay cut. Football is * forever

You still usually get a couple of results. Last season had Maidstone beating Ipswich and Coventry getting to the semi. Our 22-23 had callie thistle in the final, Falkirk in the semis, Dairvel beating Aberdeen.

Well there you go. Did Slot seriously underestimate Plymouth or overestimate his second string or simply not give a *? Was surprised by the lack of strength on the bench. Most teams will have their big guns at least there to save them.
