we did with Henrik? If Daizen scores as many as Henrik why not. I don't think that he personally will clamour for a move given that his family seems settled.

At least he'll be fit fit for whoever we get get after Bayern.

The more I watch him the more I love him. We'll be fine domestically with him up front.

He's a big miss for Wednesday though.

Quite frankly, one of the best players we've ever had... we need to get him on a long, long contract and pay him £30k a week..that's how special he is.

That’s what I think also but I thought the same about Kyogo, I worry that a move makes sense financially for them at a certain stage. But I also think that Maeda has surpassed Kyogo as an asset for us so we should be looking at offering him the best deal possible to keep him here.
I’m reminded today after his hatrick of how dangerous he is getting on the end of things. His pace with the ball is rapid but on either side he can bomb it passed the fullback and score. I think without Kyogo being our main threat we can utilise maeda more getting on the end of things.

    Aliens do exist.....

They're just waiting for Daizen Maeda to die before they invade.

Daizen is life though. All energy comes from him and he’s the source.
I can tell you from experience that not all humans are equal and shoving batteries up my * doesn’t make me the source of energy like it does the king of the rising sun.

It’s a gutter we’ve got the furthest in Europe in about 12 years and our best player can’t play.

Quite confident he’ll stay around too. Scouts will turn up see his first touch hit off the disco lights and leave. (Then after that he scores 2, 14 tackles and 10000km covered)

Daizen Maeda has gone away with the player of the match. I know that he contributes wherever he plays, but on the occasions you've asked him to play as that central striker, he does reward you with goals on every occasion?

That's why I play him there. I think you only need to have a look. If anyone has done any depth of work on Daizen Maeda before he came in here at Yokohama, you can see he plays as a striker and you see all the various range of goals he scored.

He may not be your, maybe, traditional up-and-down number nine, who maybe isn't as mobile, but he scores goals in a different way. He's shown that he's a mobile number nine who can run in behind.

He's got good movement and speed and can make those finishes that come in the box. And again, his three goals today, absolutely great. First one, striker's finish, find the bottom corner, pass it in. Second one, joining in, cross, finishes it. And then, obviously, from the wide area, he tracks the game really well and then shows a great explosive speed to get in. So, he can score all different types of goals, but he's been absolutely sensational this season.

And his work rate is great - because it's not just 21 goals he's scored, it's everything else he brings to the team - the value he gives us in our pressing. So, I'm so happy for him
