Good luck to him, maybe just wants to see and experience something other than a country with * weather and a rain soaked dingwall 2 or 3 times a year

He's excellent domestically, especially with game intelligence in building attacks..

There's no doubt though he's been exposed defensively at times and not just on the European stage..

Seems like the right time to me.

I’ll concede I’m not at parkhead often these days but I feel his relationship with the fans is overblown. I think he’s more popular than people think.

When he has a bad game he gets stick but Jota and Kuhn will get undeserved pelters when they have bad spells this season. It’s the nature of wide play, and I would agree something our support should be more understanding of.

James Forrest went through years of being the whipping boy but he’s going to be up there with Brown and McGregor. Players get it, I think. It’s not a big deal.

He was always a very good backup and I would have been happy to keep him as such. That he played so often has more to do with our recruitment department's inability to scout players than with him being too good for any kind of competition in his position.

And when I read people should be careful what they wish for. If the club is incapable of finding an equal or maybe even better replacement than the people working at our club are just useless at their job and should be replaced by competent scouts.

Anyway, I wish him all the best! Think it's actually a good decision, a club where he can win trophies, most likely keep playing Champions League and in a very nice surrounding and football mad culture. He obviously wants to experience something else and I think Dinamo is a very good choice for that!

Top top player is a bit far. He’s a good steady full back especially domestically. I won’t say any of our current squad are top top. If he signs I’ll be delighted to have him back up to KT as we know what we have in a decent LB.

He’s never been a backup for his entire time here. He’s played so often because he’s performed well.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but unless we pull off the impossible against Bayern next week, I'd look to get a fee for him to move now TBH. Even 1 or 2 million would be acceptable given he can go for free in the summer.

The issue probably is we see him as good enough domestically but really want him to be backup to someone better, when in reality he has been our no1 LB for years now and wanted a contract/wage increase to reflect that which is actually fair enough, but now we're bringing in Tierney in the summer (and might even offer Schlupp a deal if he plays well) making it pretty clear he's the backup and not wanted as our no1, I can see why he'd feel it's time to go.

Is the Window there still open?

Edit: I see it us, but it's never happening he's our only LB..

Fair play and good luck Greg.

Had an awful time from “supporters” since day dot. Look at his thread when he first signed, or at least when he was strongly linked. Called a hun on repeat. Then under-appreciated massively and consistently throughout his Celtic career.

Excellent footballer and physically very limited. Not quick, not strong, can’t jump. Always gave massive effort and his first touch and passing etc was always to a very high level. Took to the club very well and embedded himself as a leader and a highly likeable character in the squad.

    205 appearances
    4 (5th pending) league titles
    3 Scottish Cups
    3 League Cups
    Multiple hun skelpings

would’ve loved him to stay as back-up but fair * to him taking the move to Zagreb if reports are true. Fun little adventure for him in a beautiful part of the world playing in front of passionate fans, champions league football and challenging for titles.

I will be glad when he leaves but I will also have fond memories of him if that makes sense. Always gives a hundred percent but also drives me nuts. Too often shipping the ball to Maeda and bolting inside leaving him isolated. Again though he does pick up great positions. Always in amongst the celebrations as well.

Not sure, mate. I'm just going from what Hamish Carton said on his podcast.

I'd argue that we don't need him and that we could use the money. Taylor is not going to put Bayern to the sword and Rangers are fast running out of games to catch us. Schlupp could take the LB role.

Schlupp looked rusty at best and hasn't started a game of football for over a year.

There is a 0% chance we let Taylor go before the end of the season. We have a treble to win and he’s our only natural left back. Scales is a CB and Schlupp has been a CM for the past 5+ years.

    Not a chance..

Too early to tell how Schlupp will settle and he's been brought in solely to provide backup for Taylor.

Him and CCV would be an extremely solid CB pairing on top of the fact it would reduce KTs odds of sustaining soft tissue issues by not having to run up and down the pitch all game, worth considering

Fully appreciate there is a "marmite" opinion on Taylor, but I am gonna stick with the Rogers sentiment of "Be careful what you wish for" -

We will always want better players, but I think being respectful and grateful for a player that performs at a good level, always gives 100% and has been shown to bring a lot to the team outside of the 90 minutes, is a basic ask that all fans should be able to see.

If you look at the squad over the last 2 years I don't think there are many other players that get as much grief as Taylor, I am not sure why, rumor's about a Rangers background, lack of value in an ex-Kilmarnock player, not sure...

But he wont be here next season...What if KT's injury problems persist? What if our sometimes questionable recruitment policy (ie the last 3 LB options), gives us another dud....we may "wish" there was still a GT to rely on.
    Just saying....
