If you think that window was fine and not signing a replacement for our best striker halfway through the season is acceptable, then aye. A complete mug and a happy clapper.

I thjnk we all knew he was never going to go mental at the board in public.

But it's evident from his comments that he isn't happy. He's obviously always going to play it down, cmon.

I'm ecstatic we signed jota and tierneys coming back. Also think the loan guys a qaulity addition.

Kyogo wanted out and was playing *.

I'm happy to wait for a good striker rather than be held to ransom. So you can take your happy clapper n stick it up your spoiled *.

The more sensible of you knew he wouldn't, be plenty were choking for it :giggle1:

He's no happy we couldn't land a striker, no one is, but he's well aware that sometimes it just doesn't fall your way. So he carries on working with the squad and trying to bring success. Pretty simple really, folk trying to create an Armageddon scenario are scatty * imo lol.

Can I ask a question and I genuinely am not trying to be smart or clever but where does the notion that we were held to ransom come from ? I get that is totally plausible that clubs could inflate prices based on knowing our circumstance but we don't know that is what actually happens and even if it did surely then plays in to a bigger picture of poor planning considering the manager again today laboured the point that we knew Kyogo wanted out for months

It completely depends on the summer too though. Not that I'm saying I have extreme confidence in this happening, but don't you think if he's strongly backed in the summer it'll make up for his feelings right now?

Alot can happen in a year and a half

As current manager Rodgers is not in a position to have a direct go at the Board, this will come in a few years time when his new book will be released entitled ............Peter the fat stingy *.

Think he's aware it doesn't always go our way aye but there's a lot in his comments that also tell us he's been let down on the road to trying to make things go our way. He's not wanting to cause uproar or make headings for the press. I don't think it's as simple as it all not being our fault and it's big bad Brondby. But ofcourse we can speculate either way.

I'm not trying to be smarmy but does it not concern you that he had a very similar interview almost a year to the day? And he's having to say similar stuff again now.

I get that we will go on and win the league, maybe the treble and it'll be great. But we need to then go again in the summer and try to make things work in the transfer market with the same people doing deals who clearly aren't impressing Rodgers. The fact it hasn't changed since last January doesn't suggest it'll change in the summer either.

I'm just curious as to whether you genuinely believe there's no issues at all? We have previous for this.

If we back him then aye. It might.

But he said similar last January, was backed in the summer (eventually) and now he's making the same type of interview again a year later.

I just don't see it changing. I think I'm sick of getting my hopes up at this point, I do it every window. But genuinely not expecting anything other than the usual shenanigans this summer now.

I’d love the members of our recruitment team who are responsible for these signing windows to join Brendan Rodgers in the press conference and be held accountable for failing to deliver players, letting our best striker leave and ultimately leaving our team in a weaker position than it was in December. BR has made his feelings clear. He wanted guys in, yet he’s fielding question after question about this flop of a window as if this is on him.

    We signed one player permanently.

A 32 year old, utility player who has barely kicked a ball this season on a 6 month loan - to provide back up to our weakest member of the starting XI, and who has barely played the position in years.

    And a pre-contract for a player we won’t see for 6 months.

All while bringing in another £6 million, shipping out a perfectly good loanee LB, and selling our best striker (then not bothering to replace him).

It really does boggle the mind when fans will accept it, even when the manager is * off about it.

The standards from some people are through the floor.

He’s hardly going to be frothing at the mouth and calling people out do publicly.

It’s quite obvious when you listen to what he’s said, rather than how he’s said it, that he’s * off.
