Wasn't he already assured things had changed before he came back? I'm not sure any future asurances would hold much weight.

Feel for Rodgers here but that may change depending on his comments regarding this window tomorrow.

Why the * did he come back. It's worse than the last time around. Last time he was here we at least signed some players. In fairness he didn't really want them, by we at least signed some.

Why have we just written off the Bayern tie btw.

Stein, McNeil, Jinky etc would be turning in their graves at our approach and attitude to European football these days.

    Christ this is excruciating.

We have one proper senior striker. Cummings is leaving in the summer and hasn't been given a chance yet doemstically. Kenny, let's be honest here, isn't good enough. And Maeda is our starting winger.

The lengths people go to to defend these shambolic transfer windows is * embarrassing.

    Rodgers will be raging.

There’s teams with no fit striker at all. The team second in the EPL for example. Losing Kyogo a year ago would have been unthinkable and a complete disaster. I’m not bothered about him going however. I’d have liked a striker in for cover though.

You have to be a * deluded clown to think Rodgers will take kindly to Nicholson and co booting him in the balls and making him look foolish over this striker debacle.

Four strikers and possibly at a push Schlupp a fifth. That's enough, they can't all get game time.
Rodgers won't give two *. He is on Easy Street.

“He’s a player that’s done a great job, but he probably wanted to leave. We have to move on from that and we have to look to the next player to come in.

"There’s a lot of work going on behind the scenes. Like I said, we’ve known for a number of months of what he was going to look like. Clearly, we wouldn’t have wanted to have sold him, certainly not at this point"

He said this after Kyogo left. There's more to it and actually for once the record have done a decent article summarising.

They had known for a number of months that he was going to be away.

So realistically by the time we probably sign a replacement we will have had the best part of 12 months to prepare. Assuming they've known since September/October time. What the * has went wrong here.

Ok, bear with me a sec... I dont think Rodgers has been shafted at all.

    My hatred if Lawwell and this board is well documented, but I honestly think we are the victim of poor scouting and inflation. Let me explain;

Weve known Kyogo was leaving since the summer, and it looks like we only had a handful of targets to replace him. Thats just poor scouting.

Secondly, and most importantly, i think clubs sre actively trying to pull our pants down.
We are now operating under a higher, albeit only slightly, transfer budget.
Teams will have the seen the fees we paid for Engels, Jota, and especially Idah (where we literally have had our pants pulled down).
The valuations weve seen for replacements are, quite frankly, extortionate.

Nobody is going to convince me that Kvistgaarden is worth 13.5m. Thats a joke.
And no way in * is strelec an 8.5m player. Hes just not.

Obviously an argument could be made for "thats just the market" these days. But i honestly believe alot of teams are taking the * *.

Yes, Lawwell is a *. A * we all want gone. But Rodgers HAS been backed. And backed well so far. I honestly dont blame the club for refusing to pay 13.5m for an uncapped, unproven Scandinavian with minimal top level euro experience.

The major issue is scouting, as well as a level of preparedness, which is sorely lacking at our club.

We should at least three have top level target replacements for every member of the squad.

I dont think we can say, in all honesty, that Rodgers has been "shafted". We're just not good enough at spotting real, affordable talent. And this so called "football doctor" looks as about effective as the * donut golf shop manager we had before.
