He's away when the next decent opportunity comes up. Would be mad not be looking to get away.

Why would he hang around here?

There's no defending it. When your manager is flat out telling the media "I want another striker in" - the "cash rich" board has to deliver.

It's even worse when we know that Kyogo wanted to leave this month as far back as the summer. Diabolical in fact.

Was always quietly hoping that Rodgers would extend his contract beyond the three years. But I think he'll stick it out and leave at the end of his contract.

I guarantee you as he sits beside Lawwell and Nicholson in London that he is definitely neither fuming nor is he leaving.

He is a part of the process clearly.

There’s not many clubs down south bringing in a lot this window either.

I'm trying to understand the logic of this thinking, do you honestly believe Rodgers will be happy at not replacing Kyogo ?

I think he’s fully immersed in the entire process to replace him, folk are talking about it as if he’s an external noise. He’s literally with the 2 people that do the business and there’s a reason for that.

Like any decent manager we get he'll be looking to move on after 2 years here.

No manger with any ambition can stomach working with that fat * Lawwell for any longer than that.

    * is constantly holding us back and supporters continually allow it to happen. We get what we deserve

"Yes, it’s competition. We've got to this point in the season. Why? Because the squad has been really competitive. We can bring players in that can do well. Like we can take Nicolas Kuhn off, put Jota in to the game, which keeps the level of the game up."

We play so many games. And how we want to play takes a lot of work, a lot of intense work. My feeling was always once Kyogo was gone, was to have someone else come in. So that's the plan. And hopefully that can be the case, and we execute that by Monday night.”

I don't expect it to be hectic, but I would hope that we could come out of this window stronger. And that's always been the plan.”

    Literally yesterday.

His interview tomorrow will be interesting.

A shambles. Written there in black and white..

Gonna be a riddy watching how many games Maeda starts/finishes as striker now after his many interviews stating he didn't see him as one..

He'll not be signing a new contract. He'll be * seething tonight. And rightly so.

I guarantee Rodgers sees his 3 years out. Even if he has to do it through gritted teeth he'll see it out. After that I'm not as sure as I was...I thought he would sign a new deal but he can't be happy with our dealings this window and it's maybe brought him back down to the reality of things here.

There's no way he extends his deal unless some assurances are given.

We still need a shake up in terms of how we operate as a modern football club.

I don't think Brendan will be perturbed, as he is part of the process.

The league is basically in the bag along with the League Cup. Scottish Cup up for grabs. Double header with Bayern coming up. Jota back. Four strikers in Idah. Maeda, Cummings, Kenny.

Could be argued we are finally giving youth a chance there, with Cummings and Kenny already having seen first team game time. Jeffrey Schlupp can fill in at a number of positions. Still in a very strong position to finish these season well. Revisit in the summer.

The prevailing wisdom in the Celtic Board must have seen it that way too.

Cummings should be nowhere near the celtic first team now.
