Let me know if I’m being stupid…but wouldn’t the fee West Ham are offering now be an additional sum on top of the pre-determined fee we would then receive in the summer?

I dont know that wasn't the point, the point was a 17 year old thinks he deserves a chance over kyogo, idah and even Kenny and because he didn't like celtic offer his mammy's spreading it online. Lot of growing up to be done there I think

Need to scrap them playing in the lowland league, the players aren’t going to progress at all playing at that standard. Reserve league or an u21s would be so much better. We’ve a lot of competitive games where we even saw idah get * all minutes ahead of kyogo for the first team so it’s hard to give the youth a chance unless they’re standing out majorly but playing that standard week in week out it’s a slim chance

Think a reserve league will be just as bad quality though. Like imagine the players that can’t get a game for st Johnstone? We just need a chance at promotion from the lowland leagues. However we didn’t even do well in the league really last 2 seasons so that’s not a guarantee

Good point mate. The lowland league with no chance of promotion is a lost cause though. I’d say send more of our young talents out in good loans but teams would probably see it as a big risk to get in players with little to no first team experience

Nah we either sell him to them before the window for whatever we deem to be an acceptable amount or get the predetermined compensation in the summer.

Let him rot in the b team. He’s clearly not interested in playing for Celtic * makes him think he’s gonna get into the West Ham team ??

The lowland is a complete and utter waste of time not one player has made the step up since it has been introduced and on the off chance someone is to get a chance you're asking a player to make a 4 division leap one week to the next. Then there is all the daft * about only being able to make so many apps for the first team.

Realistically if you're a youth coming through at us you hit 18/19/20 your options are go out on loan and hope it goes well or look elsewhere

It worked *checks calendar* 12 years ago and 5 managers ago though, so that's clear evidence the club is very good at giving time to 19/20 year olds and finding them adequate loan moves.

I think fair play to the lad. He was never going to make it here.

This is another poorly handled nonsense at this point just sell the kid and let him get on with his career.

Over 20 goals....in 5th tier of scottish football.

    * id fancy Yang to score at least 20 at that level and hes mung.

The wee * needs a * reality check if he thinks he should be anywhere near our starting 11. He'd struggle to get a game for any team in the premiership based on his CV never mind for us.

Celtic clearly don’t do what’s best for Celtic, they have massively failed in yet another transfer window to strengthen our team.

In this scenario what was best for Celtic was taking the extra money offered and selling the player who has no ambition to renew his deal.

Again, if Celtic were doing what’s best for Celtic, you move on to try develop the next young striker who may actually want to be here and if there isn’t one there you sign them. Instead we further damage our reputation of how we treat our youth players and have him playing 5th tier Scottish football for another 5 months.

Disagree with that, reserve league worked well enough before when we brought through the likes of Maloney, McGeady, Marshall and Kennedy, not to mention numerous others who weren't quite at that level but still got good runs in the first team. Our players will progress much better against the likes of Lennon Miller, James Wilson and Bobby Wales than against university players.

Why we did we leave it to yesterday?

    It's inexcusable mate.

Do you genuinely think we left it to yesterday?
