It doesn't look a bit weak, it looks * threadbare *.

CCV goes out were looking at Nawrocki or Murray being relied on entirely.

Lose Maeda or Idah and then we have 1 forward option across the entire front 3 on the bench.

And given the previous track record we still won't see any youth unless we get utterly * by injuries

I think we need LB, CB, CM/CDM, RW, ST as it stands. That's without losing anyone.

We also have to get players settled into the team. There is a lot of money at stake for next season's qualifiers.

If that’s true then that is a jolly and a half for them!

    I disagree..

We're short in a few positions..

    Striker, definitely
On the wings we've still no got enough depth with the likes of Yang
Centre half we're still short as I don't rate Nawrocki in the slightest and we're usually having to manage Carter-Vickers more now
Midfield i think we could do with more pace and physicality. It's a bit too lightweight and one paced for me

Now I wasn't expecting all of this to happen in this window, but i was hoping for a permanent striker and another winger in..

I think a loan LB would fly if we had another striker come in. It appears that isn't happening. If Kenny and Idah perform well then hindsight may make me think differently.

Exactly. And it becomes a chicken/egg argument because the board will then argue they won't spend until they know if we have CL money.

In short, we simply never strengthen from a strong position. All the way back to Larsson days. We spend when Rangers get too close. It was a blessing last year that rangers ran us close because it forced us into upping our game in the summer. I have no doubt if Rangers closed the gap to 1 point by the end of this season we would suddenly start spending again.

Our entire strategy is based on that and that alone in my opinion.

Why did all three Rodgers, Lawwell and Nicholson go down today? There must of been hope for another deal/bigger deal than a 6 month loan. All be it I’m happy with Shlupp coming in don’t get me wrong

If it ends the way it is the one good thing is that we've got goals throughout the team

You would hope so but then you know what these type of folk are like. Would make them feel very important jumping on flights to and from London on ‘business’ when in reality the player was coming regardless.

It's a shocking state of affairs. Getting to the point where I just can't be arsed anymore.

The club evidently don't give a * or have any real ambition. Why should we keep getting our hopes up?

In their eyes we've won the league (poor attitude), have advanced to the playoff round, made massive amounts of money and leave another window in profit. We're a business first and foremost, not a club that wants to improve and be the best version of itself; hence the lackadaisical, * taking approach to every window.

We had a chance vs Villa, threw that out the window beforehand. Bayern aren't amazing, it isn't impossible to beat them despite what some think. But the club is telling us to forget about it. What kind of mentality is that?

You're bang on, we'll be in the exact same position on the last day of the next transfer window. It's who we are.

Maybe Rodgers was * when told we wouldn't be willing to spend any money so they took him up to London for a nice meal and a night out on the town to cheer him up.

Not necessarily but I would say every player we sign for the most part has to be with the aim of being first team. If we are wanting to trim the squad and keep it quality depth wise etc.
