They either get a decent prospective player for free in summer or now for about half a million, which is back of the couch money in Monopolyland, so I'd not read anything into it... They'll hold him without playing or loan him so they pay nothing and flip him for about £2-3M in a couple of years if he doesn't make it or about £10-12M if he does...

Uefa have created a setup that allows the larger leagues to parasite the less financially stable leagues and we're not immune to that. Doesn't matter if we're "bigger" than them. Young lads want to get paid better, and I don't particularly have an issue with that, if we can't find a way to keep them interested in Scottish football

I think celtic were quite rightly waiting on him signing a new contract before giving him the opportunity. Well seeing as we only have one first team striker left that's not too difficult is it

Yeah because he literally by default became our second choice striker as Maeda was suspended, and Kenny wasn’t registered.

He wasn’t on the bench at the weekend and the later never even got on.

The player has clearly decided to go. We literally have a shambles going on in first team recruitment and we are trying to drive a hard sale for the sake of £150k on a lost cause.

Lots of other clubs give good young promising players a direct route to the team. It excites the fans too, when they see one of their own make it big. Time to change our ethos and thinking on this I think.

Well there's only 2 young players I can think of leaving lately that I agreed with vata and doak. Then you have the likes of kelly, morrison, adam and Hepburn who have pretty much been unheard of since leaving so aye maybe wait on your chances

 

What and get a token gesture appearance so they might think about staying

Well it's better than sitting thinking you should be playing ahead of first team strikers when you haven't scored a senior goal then getting your mammy to spread the news on the celtic sites

You've asked this already go look it up I'm no doing your research for you. A 17 year old thinking they should be playing ahead of pros that have actually scored professional goals and in the champions league is laughable for me

 

Have you ever just sat and thought why these guys are leaving

Or is it because they get offered far higher wages than we can justify to give to a teenager. Or is it the poor youth league set up in Scotland? Or is it just because 16 year olds aren't getting first team football? Really?
