Absolutely get what you mean, but maybe we can’t get the permanent one we want until summer? No idea tbh. Re Lennon Miller was there not a story going about that we approached him but he wants to go to Europe?

A loan with no buy option doesn't interest me at all..

If we can't negotiate that, I would rather go with Idah, Maeda and Kenny.

    Cheers seen it now.

Absolute joke scrambling about for a last minute loan after selling Kyogo.

I don't think we have been scrambling about for a loan, I think it has always been the plan for a loan striker, ideally of course with an option.

My gut feeling is that it has come down to possibly three loan strikers on the list, and we are in deep negotiations with all three of the clubs and agents, to finalise, what will eventually be our informed pick.

Oddly enough, that's the exact way Idah came in last season, and made an impact.

Aye true, but if they do well usually it doesn't materialise into a permanent move or the parent club holds you to ransom for the whole summer.. does my nut in..

Whatever way we look at it, its been pish poor planning. If that's what we're looking at..

Unless BR, is doing some bluffing..

Aye we shouldn't be scrambling for a deadline day loan to buy this time around..

We're flush, had targets in mind and have had time and plenty of money to get one of the ones we've wanted in..

I certainly don't think he was bluffing today. It'll be a loan to buy indeed..

    Poor..

Luckily I went into January with little expectations. Definitely dissapointed but leaving it to the last day and hoping is the Celtic way.

Considering we are known, clubs we've dealt with and agents have claimed, to basically do one deal at a time and drag our feet about things, I doubt we have three lined up waiting to pull the trigger on either one of them.

Can’t believe we sold Kyogo without a replacement sorted. can’t believe we let Valle go without someone sorted either.

    Baffling

You would be genuinely surprised at the complex forward planning and meticulous preparation that goes into it, to even get it to that intended state of play. The cut throat market we are playing in, the level of intense interest from other clubs, and the bluffing and counter bluffing that goes on.

Like I said, just a gut feeling, we will see what tomorrow brings.

No offence, but I'll go with decades of experience and word of other clubs and agents, that we are badly organised, take an eternity to do deals and drag our feet about everything.

That's not my gut, we've had comments from folk inside the industry and at other clubs tell us this.

That 's alright mate. I don't take offence. :giggle1: I love to hear different opinions, and try and understand and learn from them.

I've no doubt there was chaos in the past over our transfer schemes, we all know that.
I would like to think a certain Mr Paul Tisdale is on the ball though.

So a loan to buy striker
    Orjasaeter
KT in or 6 month loan left back

That's what we're realistically looking at..

Which was mostly under Dom McKay tbh. Other times some specific ones like the McGinn stuff as well, which was a * ego thing Lawwell had with Rod Petrie. Pretty much everything else that’s been said of us is we have been a very professional well run club.

The way we are run and deal with other clubs is fine. The way we don’t commit and go all in and * about waiting for the other shoe to drop is * infuriating sometimes though.

Aye I once ended up having a drink in the pub with a football agent who operated successfully around Scotland, all levels of leagues. Sat and picked the * brain about transfers, it’s not simple, and every * is a lying * apparently
