Daizen Maeda

We missed him tonight.

He shouldn't have kicked out at the YB player, but the ref should've blown for a foul and yellow carded their player before it. I'd normally be harsher about a player losing the head like that but he deserves some slack because their players and the ref were at it all night.

100% agreed but he shouldn't have gave them a decision to make because we all know how much they love us

 

Can we appeal the two game ban, assault means criminal act and should be in court regardless where it happens. Its not like he threw a * punch.

 

Actually relieved after I seen they opted for two match they never went full hog violent conduct and gave him the three.

He was daft to get the red, and it’s a red that is harsh as * but aye laws of the game it can be a red. So no complaint at how * a red it is but two matches for it? They can suck ma baws.

You know what, idah proved me wrong tonight and I dont think it will be all bad if we have to play jota and Kuhn out wide next round. I think Rodgers would have gone Maeda up top if he wasn’t banned.

But we wouldn’t have scored any goals last night without his physical presence up top. Countless times he bullied their centre halves to win the ball and having Maeda or kyogo up there just wouldn’t have happened.

madrid…rudiger and currently tchouameni. Bayern… Kim and upamecano. All huge athletic players that I think would have easily dealt with a potential maeda through the middle.

could actually help if we can get a positive result first round and then unleash maeda second round for a counter style play

 

Typically last night was a game tailor made for Maeda, a lot of off the ball work required and energy, acres of space to run in behind their defence. Not saying he would have played well as you can never be sure with Maeda but the game was the perfect type for him. I am sure he would have got at least a couple 1v1s with their keeper given how they were defending.

 

Speaking of demons, Daizen's #OniPress is the most frightening thing for opponents.

He was phenomenal today. Involved in every goal and work rate off the charts, still making lung bursting runs in stoppage time. He really is having some season.
