I’m mostly with you to be honest because I agree it’s far from ideal, but I do think we’re in a decent position for what’s left this season compared to how we looked last season.

But yeah I do mostly agree.

Listen if we drop points today I’ll be changing my tune entirely.

We can't run on just that. Idah could easily get an injury. Absolutely need another striker

I think there’s too much put on players being settled if I’m being honest mate.

The squad that played in Europe this season will be the one going into qualifiers next season after a long summer rest (Kyogo for Jota obviously). That’s a strong position to be in and it’s worth mentioning again Idah is a capable striker.

It’s not like we’ve got a massive gap there that will be emergency patched a week before the playoffs.

Although I would argue in DM that could be the case.

Where's our replacement striker and cover for LB? with CL qualifying in August NOW is the time to bed players in, I really hoped our boards amateurs had learned but no

    We need two strikers imo.

Probably need two LB as well, 1 on loan for the season and one to be rotated with KT next season as I imagine Taylor is gone next season.

We could do with supplementing Kuhn on the right as well.

The golden ticket then being a new CDM minded midfielder who can close the gaps we have between midfield and defence which constantly leaves our CB 1 on 1 or 2 on 2 with counters

Hate scrambling around in the last day of the window, judge when the window closes etc.. but it's still a poor way to do business.. clubs know we're desperate..

I tend to agree on the striker front.

We also have Kenny there too and would be good time to * him

Personally I think left back is a much more pressing issue and if that's not addressed then that's were we have failed in this window.

We currently only have 1 left back, who's not good enough and only cover option is a centre back who's also not good enough.

We also need to address the fact that the Huns have a clear game plan now that involves targeting both of those players bcoz they know their distribution when under pressure is atrocious and they will continue to give us problems for as long as one of them is playing left back. Not to be over the top but not signing a better left back could make the difference between winning the Scottish cup or not

I agree with that. I’d kinda forgotten about the LB situation. It needs sorted or it will cost us.

Think we’ll get a loan lb in , although hoping for kt . Maybe the winger we’ve put a bid in for . Might be the summer for a striker .

This is our way. Instead of thinking of the bigger picture (CL qualifiers) in getting a start in things now. Nope, we'll have enough to see of the huns and bank what we have after getting beaten by Bayern.

And in the summer. We will repeat our cautious approach and be scrambling around looking for folk.

Our recruitment and football set up has never been addressed, we just reshuffle the deck and keep the head down.

If Kvistgaarden is priced at over what we see as fair market value then fair enough, but my issue is that our next option seems to be a random ex-player of the manager.

Surely there's other cracking young strikers in the 8-10m bracket that we'd move on to next.

I'm not entirely against waiting until the summer but it * me off for the following reasons:

Known for months about Kyogo and unless we are the most unfortunate club in the world with transfers we didn't really have a plan in place to replace our best striker we've seen in 15 years.

    And also

We would massively benefit from someone in now before the CL qualification next season. I don't trust the board whatsoever to have a deal done prior to these games even in the summer and the good old let's wait and see what happens tactic will come into play.

Just waiting for the old tried and failed line in a couple of days.

Surely they can't hit us with teams don't want to lose their best players in January nonsense after we sold Kyogo. Surely no eh?

Thought the summer was an excellent window but we rarely do excellent back to back windows.

I really don’t get this clubs signing / transfer policy, one minute it’s brilliant getting Jota in the door but in other ways we let Kyogo go without any replacement yet, the back up left back is returned to his former club and moved on again and no immediate replacement yet!
The transfer window will be closing and we have important positions to fill.
How the * can they be good and incompetent in the same window as it feels like we are standing on the bridge of the titanic at the moment waiting for somebody to pull a rabbit out of the hat at the eleventh hour?

It's going to look like we are once again strides ahead of rangers.......and the board are using the lead as an excuse to not strengthen the squad as is needed. It's like they don't deem it nessescary cause there is not a close title challenge.

It also seems like they are content that Bayern Munich will knock us out of Europe. They are already making noises about it having BEEN a wonderful Champions League campaign and how we should be proud of the progress we've made. A lot of past tense as if it's already over for the season

If they do not secure a good quality striker, and regardless of bringing back Jota, the board will be accused of doing as little as is possible for us to just stay ahead of rangers. Appease the fans. Who will accept simply being ahead of rangers as success. Again they are showing little interest in serious investment to make serious improvement. Not interested and not willing
