The question is, are they wrong? The more I think about it, the more it seems entirely rational.

It's not like we aren't trying to strengthen (that would be irrational); but if teams are seeing the fact that we sold Kyogo and let Valle end his loan as an excuse to try to charge us more than we think a player is worth, it's definitely rational to take into account that we don't actually need to make a move until the summer and just wait. Passing on the likes of this Danish guy at inflated prices is highly unlikely to cost us the league and paying over the top to get them in is highly unlikely to see us past Bayern. I guess it might cost us a Scottish Cup if we're unlucky.

I still think KT will come this window and I'm sure we'll keep trying for a striker. We want the board to spend the money when the value is there; but not when clubs are asking for way more than the player is worth.

The Celtic board at their best spent nearly £27 mill on 3players in the summer having sold 1 for £25 mill so no need to strengthen any more . Kvistgarden we have seemingly been following for over a year and have decided that they won't meet the valuation that Brondby have placed on him thinking that Brondby will lower their valuation. Someone said that it is like history about to repeat itself with the comparisons of when Rodgers left last time after not getting the players he wanted

Was pretty chilled about it all but getting a bit of the fear now. Everything seems to be shutting down the last few days.

I'm not really against the conclusion, if that's the conclusion. I'm more worried about the perceived lack of planning. So if we knew kyogo was leaving and we had a few target lined up, estimated prices, etc, and it just so happened all involved clubs priced us out at late notice, then fair enough.

But I'm not convinced that's happening. What seems to happen is what im convinced happened with Idah - we have no plan B, no foresight, and we end up in a last minute panic to bring someone in and overpay anyway. And our scouting/recruitment strategy is basically Rogers phoning up his contacts to try and cut last minute deals rather than our scouting and recruitment team actually sourcing various options.

Also, smaller clubs instantly doubling prices when richer clubs coming knocking isn't new. It's happened to EPL clubs for years. If it's known a club is buying to compete in the champions league and also has 80m in the bank, they will need to pay a premium. We shouldn't be opened to being fleeced, but marked up prices come with the territory.

Considering that sky tweeted our interest in Iheanacho then 2 hours later after a celtic page with links to the club denounced it, I'm thinking they're on here and other forums desperately truing for articles.

    Wouldn't be the first time..

    Worryingly quiet.

Massive 48 hours to stop this window from being a farce.

The club should never be willingly exiting a transfer window weaker than it began it so lets hope there are some late deals.

If not I think we put a treble in jeopardy, as on the basis of the last 2 OF games if we draw Rangers away from home then they are well capable of matching us.

We should have enough of a lead in the league to win it but if we get a couple of injuries and dont strengthen then we risk spluttering over the line which gives the huns a bit of a lift for next season.

We want to finish the season strong, secure the treble and leave double digits between us and the huns just to keep the foot firmly on them going into nest season.

    Nail on head.

Ridiculous to not have deals on the verge of completion if you're letting go of Kyogo and Valle. Thought if Kvistgaarden was close and the Tierney loan til summer were sorted you could understand but clearly they've botched the * out of it at this point.

Scrambling for 6 month loans to save our arses now.

If we lose tomorrow for example it's back to 7 points assuming they win. Albeit we have a game in hand. But still.

It really only takes one defeat and a draw for hope to be given again.

Now before anyone says I'm not panicking or suggesting we will lose the league. What I'm saying is it shouldn't be seen as a foregone conclusion when we currently have a squad which is obviously light in key areas. As you rightly say, couple injuries and it doesn't look so good.

Regardless, we shouldn't be standing still. Need a few in. I've been calm throughout and do believe the club deserve a bit of trust but this past few days has reminded me of days in the not too distant past.

Someone on KDS who seems to be widely trusted (e.g. the post has 50+ likes) is saying that we are still discussing with Kvistgaarden and tomorrow is 'd-day' for it. 2 other strikers being spoken to in tandem.

5.5m will do it for the Norwegian winger and should be joining.

And we have a final chat with Arsenal on KT Monday.
Could also be the potential for some random links as we are being offered a lot of players.

It's a rumour so worth posting especially as we are grasping at every possible straw.

Aye Moch or Republican are the only ones I've seen get anything right. And FatBoab with Jota.

But he must have gotten something before as his post has gotten traction.

Seen that as well aye. As well as also saying KT isn't dead completely and if it is, young highly rated LB from EPL lined up.

Moch on KDS hinted at us having him as a back up option about a week ago. He looks quite raw but definitely more what Rodgers would perhaps want up front. Nearly went to Leeds in the summer for £8m so don't think it'd be a cheaper back up tbh. Not by much.
