Following Celtic In Europe

Unfortunately, I've never had the chance to attend a European away game. It's definitely on my list of things to do, though.

I'm curious how many European away games other fans have attended. When was your first experience, and which interesting and unique places have you seen the Bhoys play?

 

Was at lazio away last season, was a great experience, proposed to the missus, watched my first love celtic and had a good swally. Hard to beat.

Was in Birmingham there but no match ticket but couple of says might craic.

Nottingham Forest, Manchester (Rapid Vienna) and Barcelona

 

Been to quite a few now. Lazio away in 2019 was my favourite, just a brilliant trip. Didn’t get to one this season because none fitted my schedule, and I’ll be in Japan while we’re in Munich. Will definitely get back next season.

 

Live overseas, so dont get to home games anymore. However, attend most away European games, love the crack and have met some wonderful people over the years and continue to bump into them now and again. Not always easy to get a ticket, sometimes go in with the home support and never an issue. Even if cannot get to the game, always a great atmosphere watching in a bar.
That's why I am totally * at those retarded halfwits that have just * up what would have been an awesome trip to Munich for myself and the missus

 

1992/93 Köln v Celtic. Since then probably did about 40-odd away games in Europe. Often for me its easier to get to then going to paradise. Been to the likes of Amsterdam, Stuttgart, Dortmund, Hamburg, Juve, Barca, Luxembourg, Rome, Anderlecht(2x), both Milans if i remember correctly, Leipzig, Salzburg, Leverkusen, Gladbach, Alkmaar, Sweden, Norway,…

coldest was Rosenborg early 2000’s lol. Best was Stuttgart away. Since I was born near Stuttgart and they are together with Celtic my team, it was special to have both teams in one ground! Specially since I lived in Scotland at the time. So travelled with my Celtic pals to meet my Stuttgart friends that day.

 

Been to a few, we try and do one every season. 2-1 Lazio game and milan before that was only time we got celtic end tiks, always in the home end. Athletico,dortmund,leverkusen,Mönchengladbach amd psg...never Any hassle either..

 

First one I attended away was 68/69 season with my dad when I was 4.
It was 1-1 draw against Red Star Belgrade

 

Benfica away 2007 was my first beat 1-0 in the last 5mins. Just got pumped from the huns 3-0 a few days before. I am sure we had o'dea, sno and Killen playing. Always remember Freddy Adu playing for them who was supposed to be the next big thing

 

2007 milan last 16? Kaka winner in extra time, amazing experience with thousands of Celtic fans taking over duomo square.

Done a pish up the back of the stadium and watched it trickle all the way down the stairs. Good times

The San Siro in summer 2016, meeting up with the bhoys at the Doumo and the underground train rocking to the Celtic tunes, we got beat 2-0 but you can’t have everything.

 

Don’t really remember much about it except people speaking a different language.

Been travelling to Celtic park from Dublin since I was 17, usually by bus and sea, every game is like an away European trip

My best trip was Liverpool, not the most exotic I know, but blagged on the Liverpool supporters bus from Dublin, tickets in the Liverpool end, session in the Liverpool supporters club.. amazing day.. and we won..

Seville.. amazing but still hurts

Worst was Anderlecht.. over the top security and Ryanair * treated us like animals
