I appreciate we have till Monday to make some signings but I'm getting those groundhog day vibes again. I might be pleasantly surprised or even shocked come the deadline but, as I said, it's practically the same old story ever time.

For those who are in love.....
The strikers we've been linked to aren't even similar at all to each other or what's just left..

If Kvistgaarden is a no go. Why no go for Louis Munteanu in Romania. 12 goals and an assist in 19. Wee class player who went to serie a and gone back to build his self up..

An achievable signing that would score all types for us..

In all seriousness as this stage who the * knows who it's going to be.

Still 48rhs so let's wait and see. Imagine it may still be a loan with a view to maybe, MAYBE going back for Kvistgaarden in summer.

At this point, either two things are true:
    1. The media know * all about who we're targetting and are spouting random names for clickbait
    2. We are completely incompetent and despite knowing Kyogo wanted to leave for months, have made zero progress in trying to replace him and are asking about 15 different targets

I'm siding more with 2 but starting to feel like both might be true at this point

The last time you suggested a player it came to fruition, I see what you're doing :BR1:

Ange knew it first hand. After he was here for a bit they stopped working out as he didn’t actually know the later ones as well, they were scouted and didn’t work out so well. Like Kobi, Iwata the South Korean 2.

Aye no idea what's going to happen, I do think LB is a no go now, which is a really risky game to play imo.

At the same time I think we have tried with Tierney and Kvistgaarden, and i think whilst we've known Kyogo has wanted to leave for a while the move itself definitely came out of nowhere, no real reason not to keep him until the Summer otherwise.

    It's insanely risky.

I really hope we aren't taking an attitude that the league is done and dusted tbh.

We're seriously running this risk of being massively weaker after the window shuts.

We've gone from possibly kvistgaarden, Norwegian winger, Jota and Tierney in to just Jota as it stands with only 2 days left.

    * finger out Celtic!!!

Talks break down in Celtic's pursuit of Kvistgaarden
Latest by Sky Sports News' Anthony Joseph:

Talks between Celtic and Brondby for striker Mathias Kvistgaarden have broken down.

It’s understood there was a gap in valuation between the clubs – with Brondby looking for a record fee in excess of £10m.

The 22-year-old has been a long-term target for the Hoops and the club opened talks during the week following the £10m sale of Kyogo Furuhashi to Rennes.

Celtic have already moved on to other targets and are pursuing a loan deal for Sevilla striker Kelechi Iheanacho, with an option to buy.

It’s believed the Scottish champions could reignite their pursuit of Kvistgaarden in the summer.

The Denmark U21 international has two-and-a-half years left on his contract.

West Ham in talks for Celtic's Cummings
Latest by Sky Sports News' Anthony Joseph and Dharmesh Sheth:

West Ham are in talks to sign Celtic striker Daniel Cummings.

The Hammers are looking to secure the 18-year-old on a pre-contract agreement for a move in the summer.

Sky Sports News revealed last week that Cummings had been in talks with Portsmouth, but West Ham look to be leading the race now.

The Scotland U19 international made his Celtic debut on Wednesday in the Champions League against Aston Villa.

Whatever way you look at it, it seems we just seem to continually be reactive instead of proactive and a club with our finances should never be like that.

We may still get Tierney in, Orjasaeter and Kvistgaarden. I don’t really believe anything in the media. Even still, we really need to get out of being reactive instead of proactive. We’ve done it for years and it needs to stop.

You don’t think the board have just written off the Bayern game with the league already ‘won’ do we? Lots of talk pre Villa game now all links apparently breaking down.

This club lack of Ambition is so stifling, but then again who am I to criticise they now have my 47.50 inc season ticket activation fee…. Mug punters r us

Would think that thought has 100% crossed the boards mind and going off previous experience with the * I guarantee having players in and prepared for qualifiers in August hasn't once crossed their minds.

I was more than happy to let Kyogo go this window if it ment we would bring in our new striker this window and let him bed in.
Also thought we would do the same with Tierney but once again we've taken cheap option on that one too.

I think that's very much the case.

If we were on the same points as rangers having got beat off them 3 0 in the new years game, would we really be selling Kyogo without a replacement or trying to manage through the rest of the season with one left back? I don't think we would. The support would be in meltdown if we did that.

And from a risk perspective the chances of celtic either not winning the league (rangers are 35/1 to win the league), or celtic beating Bayern over 2 legs, are both so slim the addition of a c10m striker won't move the dial either way. That's how the board will see it.

    You think or you hope?

Taking the media out of it and looking at the facts, it’s not promising.

Kyogo sold. Only 48 left hours to replace - been away for a week.
Valle gone. KT confirmed as not coming til summer.

We’ve let players go prematurely and not had replacements lined up to come in immediately. I’d semi get it if it was summer window and we had more time to get things right but behaving this was in the Jan window is concerning.
