While this might prove to be a decent signing, it smacks to me of being the cheap option. Also, with Inheanacho being another one of Brendan's former players, it seems more likely Brendan is unhappy with names put forward by the recruitment team and simply going for a player that he believes he can trust. A 6 month loan deal just doesn't seem to an acceptable replacement for our number 1 striker. Surely we must have had a proper targets in place, otherwise we shouldn't be selling. This reeks of desperation with the window closing soon.

    We're actually not.

It's not that hard to deduce - if some folk would actually read comments.

We've made contact for Kvistgaarden - he's (among others I would assume) OBVIOUSLY been scouted and analysed - they've no just pulled a name oot the hat the other day and went aye go get him.

But oddly enough, how come we've only started ACTIVELY going for guys AFTER Kyogo was sold? Hmm.....

We did have a top target. It fell through. See the Kvistgaarden thread

I'm well aware of that. Do we just have a top target and no backups? Same as goalkeeping situation in the summer. Just get Brendan to open his phone book seems to be the fall back plan.

    Can’t quite remember saying that.

What I did say was he’s had two seasons in his career where he’s scored more than 5 league goals. At any level, that’s abysmal.

Playing Maeda as CF seems more and more appealing with each passing moment.

It's certainly an option, especially with us bringing Jota in.

Some folk seem to forget that.

Had his best two scoring seasons under Rodgers at Leicester, I believe.

Can we just get Orjasaeter and make Maeda's switch to CF semi-permanent, or has that also broken down like the Kvistgaarden rumor?

Please no, this guy has had one decent season but otherwise has been rank rotten last several years.
That's also why he's available on loan from a struggling Seville team.
    0 Goals, 0 assists in 9.

One, during empty stadium Covid time.

The other was when he was 20 at Man City.

His European record is fine. Seen you mention it a few times. Is it 6 goals in 27 games? Aye it’s fine but hardly spectacular.

Mins per goal seems a bit irrelevant when he’s scoring 5 league goals a season. Tells me that he wasn’t starting very much - which itself comes with questions.

    League goals I’m talking about.

In 2019/20 he scored 5 league goals.
