I guess that means he won't sign an extension?

I would be shocked if he signed a new deal. It has been pretty clear for a while now that Taylor staying beyond this season was unlikely. He has given us solid service in his time at Celtic and certainly up to this point this season his unresolved contract situation has not impacted his on field form. But in not signing a new left back in this window and selling Bernabei and releasing Valle from his loan deal we are taking a real risk at left back as Scales is now effectively our left back cover as well as being Trusty's cover at left center back.

Just behind Idah for me for MOTM, probably his best performance of the season.

Between him and Maeda for MOTM today. Was only one dodgy pass I could remember but generally he was quality going forward and defensively.

Brilliant again today. Energy, passing, crossing and overall workrate. A player that we will miss more when he is no longer here.

Was great in that game for me, the link play and passing and moving and that in midfield.

I have the fear of him leaving as he absolutley terrorises the League in these games with the intelligent movement off the ball around the park pulling the strings a bit.

We'll not get near that off most other guys we have playing there.

Gee the * whatever money he wants.

Play him in the League and wheel Tierney out for Cup semis, finals, derbies and Europe.

Couldn't agree more, he's right back on his game after a shaky spell. He's criminally underrated.

Completely agree. I have been harsh on him at times but as a back up he’s more than good enough.

Will still get plenty of games and coming into his peak years. Think we’ve brought in 4 LBs since he signed and none have been able to dispose of wee Greg

I'd like him to sign a new deal.

Aye I get his shortfalls in Europe defensively, but he's so good domestically

He’s an absolute key cog in the machine and a large part of why we can play the way we want to. If it’s down to money we should be giving him what he wants but I suspect it’s assurance that he’ll still continue to be a first choice which he won’t be when KT is back.

It won’t be until he’s gone what he does week in week out will be fully appreciated.

He's a smart player as well who adapts to things, like early in the game the first 10-15 I thought he actually tried to run down the left a couple of times and get involved higher up but it never came off.

Then probably noticed that Jota doesn't really like or need anyone near him, he stands on the touchline and just wants to be fed the ball and then makes things happen on his own, after that Taylor dropped way off him and just have him space and then manipulated the ball to him easier and quicker, which he never plays like that with Maeda.

Some other players would just do their basic job and same way of playing whoever is around them.

Been really good last few games, linking up the midfield, hes like an extra midfielder. Linked the left flank really well with Reo and Jota last night. So he is fine in games where we dont have much defending to do.
Its when we have a lot of defending to do that he comes up short-does my head in the way he keeps backing off his man, gets done for pace and not that strong.
Just cannot see anyone give him the 25K a week he thinks he deserves.
I would be happy for him to get new contract and just share the load with KT but 25K a week is too high for a non elite player.

Was a key player again last night, started off a lot of our attacks and was generally solid. Really hope he remains with us.

And it looks like one summer transfer has been resolved. Although the club told us that not everything has been finalized yet, left-back Greg Taylor (27) is set to arrive at the Blues in the summer.

In Taylor's case, the flirtation with Dinamo also lasted a long time, Celtic also received offers from other clubs, but we learn that Dinamo was the most specific and the Scottish international should come to Maksimir. He left a significant mark at Celtic, making more than 200 appearances over six seasons and winning ten trophies, including four Scottish championship titles
