5 in 20 doesn't mean "he's scored enough to justify being the main starter".
I hope he fan become the main starter as he has shown the potential and is a big game player who I think will get better. But his goals return isn't a good argument for him deserving to be the main man .

Right, you tell us then what plan should they have made for a player who was still theirs with no move in place or confirmed?

I totally understand all of valid negativity around the lack of actual scouting here. That said, I wouldn’t be too disappointed with Iheanacho coming in.

Rodgers knows him. In fact, he brought him to Leicester for £25m. If he thinks he improves the side, we have to trust him.

Those goals are good enough for the 2nd choice striker. It's not just the goals, it's the actual goals themselves - a fair amount of them have been massive goals.

To say your current highest goalscoring forward/striker in the team at the moment isn't deserved of a chance to make the jersey his is madness...

As soon as the player stated he wanted away. I think that's the sensible thing to do. If and when it happens you've a clear plan in place. At this stage I don't know if you're on the wind up as why would you not do that??

He didn’t but that’s immaterial, he worked with him and knows what he’s getting.

You don't seem to be grasping facts here mate - how can you make plans to replace a player when there was nothing in motion about him leaving?

I've always liked him. Not seen in him in a couple of years granted, so can't comment on him currently but if he can replicate his performances from a few years ago he'd tear up this league imo. Still only 28 I think.

I do get the disappointment if it's him on loan over a permanent signing.

Feels like a signing the Huns would make

There will have been loads of discussions taking place behind the scenes for weeks with regards to Kyogo and other clubs. Which the club would have well been aware of.

I agree they have been massive goals and he has shown he has talent but you can't use his numbers this season to argue he definitely should be the main man. His goals return has been poor , didn't score in 5 starts in a row , didn't score for 14 games ; that's clearly fair grounds to debate the issue . It's highly , highly debatable , hence plenty of people hold both sides of the opinion. So it's not "madness" to suggest he shouldnt be the main starter here. If he is given that chance , I think he could really find his feet and go on a run and be the main man , but that's mainly in spite of his performances and return this season . Think he's capable of far better than he has shown this year .

Yes, and we've obviously been looking at replacements for weeks.

Not months and months as some are suggesting, which is my point. We had no expectations of selling Kyogo - he's been sold only last week.

I never said that he should be the main man, I said he should be given the chance - whether or not he takes that challenge on and overcomes it is completely up to him.

Being a part of us getting the winning goal against YB and 2 goals away at Villa would suggest there's a good chance that he's up for the fight...

You have to be on the wind up or slow.

A BR quote below which to me you can't take any other way than they knew it was happening and not that it just may. Also says once a player wants away it's best to find a solution. I think you must have been on the wind up so fair play as nobody's that slow:

Well, there's a lot of work going on behind the scenes.
Like I said, we've known for a number of months what it was going to look like. Clearly, we wouldn't have wanted to have sold him, certainly not at this point, but he made it clear he wanted to move and when that's the case, then we have to find the best solution for the club. The club will work very hard and we'll look to get in an able replacement.

We already down to 3. choice option for signing? I must say the comments about Iheanacho being languid worry me.

As an aside comment, Kyogo left there having scored 12 in 32 this season. Idah's on 10 in 33.

Read the BR quote. Number of months.

You've had a mare maybe sit it out for a while.
