Btw I'm not raging if he signs like some folk are i was just hoping we would have been a bit more organised knowing Kyogo was leaving for months.

He seems kinda similar Edouard to me and there were some people desperate to get him back.

I’ve been thinking this too. Obviously we need another striker but Idah was clearly signed in anticipation of Kyogo going.

    Mate, behave yersel!

He scored 8 goals in 15 during his loan spell, and has scored 5 in 20 from mostly the bench so far this season.

Definitely is, however the caveat is likely the injuries of Iheanacho have meant he's played over 10,000 minutes less than Kyogo

Iheanacho is on 14,246 minutes played with 90 goals and 45 assist meaning 105.52 minutes per goal involvement

Kyogo is on 25,522 minutes played with 151 goals and 55 assists meaning Kyogo is on 123.89 minutes per goal involvement

Again we are not learning the lesson of not paying the money when we had the chance to sign Ivan Toney and then ended up signing Ajeti .
Celtic have known for months that Kyogo wanted to leave then you get your signings targets lined up and go for your number one choice .
Again it looks the board don't want to fork out the money for a striker who could score goals regularly and again going to go for the cheap option and seems no planning from the recruitment team.

Cannot believe folk are arguing against Idah literally days after not only did he score the only goal Villa have conceded at home in the Champions League this season but 2 of them in an elite performance against an elite team.

    Such a bizarre viewpoint indeed!

2 goals v Villa away, instrumental in us getting the winner against Young Boys to take us through to the next round, goals at Ibrox, winner in the SC final against them - 9 goals in 19 on loan, 10 in 33 this season basically from the bench (although aye bit of a dry spell recently, but Kyogo was the same for a bit).

Aston Villa aren't an elite team by any stretch of the imagination.

They're good - sometimes great and sometimes rubbish. Did well to finish top 8 tbf but a closer look at their league form doesn't exactly suggest they're a top team.

Idah played well though and had his best game of the season by a country mile. He's been poor otherwise. Hopefully he kicks on now.

Fair enough, you got me there! Although the fact he's played so much less minutes is a bit worrying

Just for the record on this I'm not against Ihenacho the actual player it's the fact like I've said is we lost Kyogo and we knew for months it was happening.

In all the time the best we could do is what is a clear panic loan at the end of the window. Where's the scouting? What have the Recruitment team been doing?

BR also said he wanted to leave the window with a better squad than started and unless something crazy happens then that really ain't happening.

Ihenacho may well do okay but it's the whole process of Celtic and transfers that's * at best.

Aston Villa are a participant in the Champions League from England, by that yard stick only they are elite never mind the fact they’ve already beaten Munich this season - a Munich that couldn’t score a single goal where Idah scored 2.

Again, pure speculation. All you or I know is that Rodgers said Kyogo was the one who spoke about wanting to leave.

That doesn't necessarily mean we've been trying to sell him for months. One offer (ONLY) came in from Rennes - an offer that we clearly took to our advantage by doing some sort of side deal to get Jota back in. Or vice versa.

It's really not like teams have been battering down our doors for months trying to sign Kyogone.

    Now this is more encouraging.

Take into account also that Iheanacho hasn't always played as a central striker.

It's not speculation at all. BR literally said they knew for a couple of months it was coming.

I agree 100%, injuries may be the main concern here

    Not true.

He said he KNEW Kyogo wanted to leave. That's not the same as he was leaving.
