    Why?

You would rather be at home last knowing exactly what you have to do with a full crowd......In this case we need to win by 5 clear goals

Can only compare how we have done against German opposition in Leipzig we won that game 3-1 that type of score line would have more than gave us a chance if we had Leipzig over 2 legs if we beat Bayern at home with 1 goal lead it will be tricky

We also got savaged 7-1 off Dortmund. We'd need a really good scoreline in the first game to stand any chance at all. A narrow 1 goal lead wouldn't be enough and it would be a miracle to even get that. Bayern are a far better outfit that Leipzig.

Was going to be tough either way, but Bayern have been a bit more 'hit and miss' the last couple of seasons. Not pretending for a moment that this is 'easier' and really the pressure will be on them, and the Celts will have to be at their absolute best.

Seriously, wins against Brugge and Zagreb would've made life so, so much easier.

Least it wasn't Real, who have been scoring like crazy lately. Missing Maeda for home game is annoying as eff.

Can see us getting a 1-1 at home or something before a skudding away.

Let's be honest it'll take a minor miracle to get out of this. Just keep it respectable if possible.

Id like to think that were on the front foot at CP, and Maedas work rate closing down will be needed more at the Allianz than at home.

For those who are in love.....
If they turn it on, they'll smash us but their form hints to them having the odd wobble..

Hopefully Alphonso Davies and Goretzka are still out by the time we play. Davies would tear our right side apart and Goretzka is the sort of big physical box to box 8 we can't cope with..

Realistically we need a few more injuries to creep in to their squad beforehand..

They've got Leverkusen away sandwiched in-between our games which could be helpful..

I'd be well happy if we get a 1-1 and aren't out before the second leg

Celtic will have to beat Bayern Munich for the first time ever if they are to progress further in the Champions League after being drawn against the six-time winners in the play-off round.

Bayern, who finished third in the Bundesliga last season, currently lead Germany's top flight by six points but finished 12th in the new first stage of the Champions League following five wins and three defeats.

Celtic, who lead by 10 points in defence of their Scottish title, were unseeded in the draw after finishing 21st, having won three and losing two of their eight ties.

The winners will face either Bayern Leverkusen or Atletico Madrid in the last 16.

Celtic have yet to defeat Bayern in four meetings, all previously in the group stage of the Champions League.

Bayern won the first of the 2003 meetings 2-1 in Germany, with the return in Glasgow finishing goalless.

The Munich side won both games in 2017 - 3-0 at home and 2-1 away.

This time, the first leg of the play-off will be at Celtic Park on either 11/12 February, with the return at Allianz Arena on 18/19 February.

The new draw format meant that Brendan Rodgers' side would either be drawn against Bayern or reigning champions Real Madrid, who finished 11th in the league phase.

The 15-time winners were instead paired with Manchester City, the English champions having finished one place below Celtic.

Leverkusen and Atletico await the winners having qualified directly to the last 16 after finishing in the top eight.

Atletico currently trail city rivals Real by four points at the top of La Liga but finished fifth in the league stage.

Leverkusen, who were two points behind in sixth, are second behind Bayern in the Bundesliga.
