Looked like a Villa player , tall , strong , quick , decent touches , held the ball in well , similar to 3 or 4 of theirs , that physicality is very important .

    Superb from Idah tonight.

Ran the channels, held it up and took both goal really well.

Seems to love a big occasion.

He was superb, 2 excellent finishes but overall his running power and his strength and hold up were all top against an elite English side.

Could be the making of him.

That finish for the first goal was sensational. Great run and finish for the second too.

Fantastic individual performance. Reminded me of when he was * defenders about at Rugby Park last year.

Would love to see him add to it at Motherwell on Sunday.

What a way and performance to break out of Kyogo’s shadow.

Both great finishes but I thought his 2nd was the best. Had the awareness to lift it over that * of a goalie. Well done son.

Delighted for him, been getting it bigtime recently. Loved his work rate, chassed down a few lost causes with a bit of joy, 2 superb finishes. Hopefully, kicks on now.

Think us having to be direct (actually crossing the ball and not being made to walk it in by parked bus defences) suits him far better. When he has to drop in to get involved, he doesn't then have the timing to reappear in those positions that got him two goals tonight.

Top drawer tonight. Quality goals and was bouncing defenders off him. Hopefully a big confidence booster for him.

    Was gonna say.

It's no surprise him and Trusty stood up pretty well tonight.

He started the season pretty good as well. Then had his barren spell, and the more that went on it infected everything about his game.

The YB OG seemed to lift the weight of the world off his shoulders, and fair play him using that he could have slumped his shoulders further thinking he didn’t score it. But he said after the game that’s his goal he’s claiming it, and it’s worked for him.

He definitely seems like a confidence player. He’s the sort we’ll probably see numbers like 12 in 12 now, then another dry spell.

One player everyone adored here that we tend to forget was the exact same way as that - Moussa Dembele.

He's already scored as many UCL goals as Kyogo in 11 less games and a lot less mins.

    Just saying.

Regardless of what BR said he was always 2nd choice to kyogo, Now he has gone to fight relegation battles in might mean idah is number 1 and with more game time he gets better and better.

He definitely was 2nd choice to Kyogo but started the season and made that a fight up top. And we were shouting for him to start instead at one point as well with Kyogo’s form being worse. Then his level dropped a lot.

Hopefully this starts a run from now till end of season, similar to his loan when he came in.

Point is, he had a slump, it’s not been all season. If he kicks on it’s still not him starting his season here, more starting strong and finishing strong.

His poor form has sort of rewrote the perception of how he started the season.

Been waiting for that for months, hopefully can kick on now. I think because of his size everyone experts him to be a target but he’s * with his back to goal. Won’t get many of them but a game like tonight probably suited him more being able to use his pace and power and run channels.

I’m not his biggest fan but he looked a 9m pound player for the first time.
