It's the ones where they were getting fouls for slight pressure being put on their defence. Then when they would do the same to us it was constantly play on.

Not a bod display for a defeat. more or less happy with that although some of the defensive *-ups were laughable. Happy with the progress but we must do more with the ball.

    Surprised by the subs tonight

Thought we were really struggling from 55-60 mins, and fresher legs should have come on earlier - Palma in particular when brought on was chasing back like a man possessed.

Then the introduction of *, thought Kenny was the more experienced and most likely replacement for Idah.

I just didn’t want another dortmund result and after 5 minutes I thought it was gonna be even worse, not to bothered just glad we got that goal last week, glad to see idah scoring a few for his confidence, and matched a top 5 English team for the first half, even at 2-2 was never really confident we were taking anything from this game

We’ve made some great progress this year, and money to progress further. We’ve went from struggling to score a few seasons ago to recording several wins and draws, with the only embarrassing result being Dortmund away.

The elephant in the room for me is still McGregor. With Jota and Tierney coming back, more players presumably coming in, I think if you want to make a real tilt at Europe then this should be his last campaign as a starter, at least for away games and the most difficult games.

We need an athletic defensive midfielder that can cover ground and at least win the 60-40s McGregor loses.

This role he plays was never his best position and he’ll be 32 next season. This summer is the right time to have that conversation in my opinion.

I don’t see Aston Villa going much further in the competition. There are far more superior sides.

I don’t think Kenny was on the bench. Presumably not in the squad since he wasn’t here when we registered.

Think we might just have beaten Aston Villa at Celtic Park to be honest.

Great progress made on the European stage this season overall.

I just hate fouls being given for that full stop. The one that was given against Taylor when he was standing next to their keeper was a * joke, but that's the way it is, they're always given. You could say there's just no point standing next to a keeper or putting pressure on them, but the game shouldn't be that way.

I'd say most fans would be happy if they stopped giving fouls for this, same with when defenders are going back to goal or in the corner, if someone even goes near them it's just a foul instantly.

Not at all but I thought he was ridiculously poor. Villa deserved to win they had far more chances but I despise watching a game where one team are allowed to rightly so use their physicality and when the other team do the same it is cheap free kicks.

The penalty is an awful decision he clearly gets the ball. For VAR to not recommend an on field review is shambolic.

I think 3 players can be swapped so it should be fine to get Jota in. Presumably Tierney if he signs and one other new signing.

Ironic that Rodgers attempt to signal the need for signings to the board basically ended any attempt at getting a result tonight, ensuring we got the hardest draw possible in the playoff. Which makes any signings pointless as we don't have a hope in * of getting through that.
