A lot of this is on Rodgers, too. Unless Trusty is injured etc., why the * isn’t he starting? Also, he cannot expect to implement a ‘play out from defense’ style with someone who cannot pass the ball - FFS, Brendan!

Thought he did well at left back there, definitely should be an option there going forward.

Just not good enough for elite level. Decent enough cover for SPFL but nothing more than that.

He wasn’t horrific, but he caused the third goal with that suicidal play that far up the pitch.

    Terrible for the third.

Happy with him as rotation, but would like another CB to challenge him and Trusty.

Absolute shocker tonight, Trusty and AJ left to all defending by him and Taylor
Just how far can you back off before making a tackle?

Large part yeah, Engels should never be going shoulder to shoulder with McGinn either though, slide it out for a throw.

Should just have fouled him, easy as that. Too naive by far as a team.

Let’s call a spade a spade the boy is dire at this level. What on earth was he doing for that third? Either go and win it or make sure he doesn’t get passed you, bring him down if you have to. Him and Engels weak as *
    Individual mistakes all the time

For me that third is on him more than Engels.

Both should have just flattened their man. We are really bad for that. But scales has to take a booking or something when he's that far up the park. Suicide.

We could easily do better than him even as a third choice.

The lads clearly not at the level needed for these games. But my biggest gripe with Scales is that he plays to his weaknesses and it costs the team. He plays the game beyond his means. Hes been styled as a ball playing centre back but f me Ive never seen a defender that needs so much time on the ball and still gets caught or gives it away. Maybe because he began his career as a full back theres a feeling he must be comfortable in possession. He isnt. Hes actually fine as defender sitting deep and defends the box quite well. If he stuck to that and didnt try to play a game he cant play it would be much better.

As soon as you seen him that far up the park and struggling you knew what was coming. There is a place for him in the squad but at this point it's probably 4th pick his purple patch is well and truly over

It was the second that wound me up. He either let's him shoot or is a shitebag scared of the ball. Put your body on the line , challenege with conviction , it's one CCV blocks every time.
