Think we will be over paying at that price. There is a lot of buzz around him but not many of us have seen him a lot to see if he’s top quality or not think 8 or 9 with a 30% sell on is good value. Wind was higher rated and left to Germany for round that figure

 

I don’t think we should pay £14m for him and I do think there would be a player out there for a similar price that would have more pedigree.

However, that’s what their position is. That’s what they want. As with anything, it’s all about negotiation. I think we can get them down to a reasonable number. I wouldn’t go over £10m, I don’t think. That would probably be my limit but they have every right to ask/demand what they want. Confident it will get done before the window closes, with an agreed fee around the Engels price.

 

Are we skint or something. As foley said we are probably minimum £11m up in trading closer to £20m if you include addons. £100m or there abouts cash in the bank. Is he worth £14m i would say not but similar price to idah or engles aye most likely

 

I think the question is, for the budget we have - lets optimistically say £15M max.

Personally I just don't see it - judging from all the clips, the stats and the reports and given he's an uncapped player in a pretty weak league.

 

Don’t really know anything about the guy, but do think some of our fans haven’t moved on from our £6 million transfer days. Sadly football has, fees are ridiculous but that’s where we are.

 

That's the exact question, no issue paying 15 million if he's the best option for that price
But worried it could be the case he was the best option with a 8 million budget, we've set our sites on him and are now into a bidding war without considering other options (as some might say we did with Idah)

 

When you've just sold your main striker and there's 1 week of the window left and your manager has come out and said we need a replacement we are maybe gonna end up paying more than we should or would like.

 

Fair enough mate. I don’t necessarily disagree with you, but I can also understand Brondby holding out for as much money as they can possibly recoup. They know we have that £10m from Kyogo and they know we’re desperate for a replacement, so they can play hardball.

As I’ve said, I don’t believe we’re looking to pay anywhere near the £14m figure being bandied about. Let’s wait and see though. If progress has been made with the player, I’d expect to hear about it tonight or tomorrow.

Honestly, we should all know not to fully trust youtube highlights but on the other hand, he looks incredible in his highlights.

Hope he is one that lives up to his highlights.

Just fear it sometimes - Kuoassi and soro looked good on YouTube highlights

 

Personally, I think thats just it tho. We overpaid for Idah. I think anything north of 10 is overpaying for this boy. Yes we have the money to do so, but i dont think that means we necessarily should. I think for 14 mill we could be getting more for our money.

I’m all for us spending 10-15 mill on players, and Im glad we are as we need to to take the squad up a level. I just hope we do it wisely.
