A lot. And also someone way out of our range now at CAM who’s gonna go all the way in Sem Steijn. Wonder if £11mil + lagerbielke would convince them

I was initially thinking just to bag a young prospect in a straight swap and take a punt and hope on someone else.

But maybe a point to go in your direction and sign someone good and offer Lagerbeilke as a sweetener

Don't think we would have any chance whatsoever of Steijn.

So he scores in Europe and no one's made the "bring him home" joke yet? I'm disappointed in you guys. :40:

That's impressive from the big man. Scores the winner away from home in the Europa. Without that they would have been out. Now a win in their final game against Besiktas gets them through. Huge goal.

TWENTE ENSCHEDE look set to try and turn their loan move of Celtic defender Gustaf Lagerbielke into a permanent £1.75 million deal this week.

The 24-year-old stopper was shipped out on loan to the Eredivisie at the start of the season and broke into the Twente Enschede team after initially struggling for game time.

He's become an important player for the Dutch side and Twente sports director Arnold Bruggink is reportedly set to approach the Scottish champions this week to try and seal a deal to make the move permanent.

Lagerbielke, who cost Celtic £4 million when he signed in 2023, has made a big impact at Twente and even won an international recall with Sweden.

He netted his first goal for the club last week in a 3-2 win at Malmo in the Europa League and Twente wants to keep the stopper.

He endured a fraught time at Celtic, with manager Brendan Rodgers signing him amid a defensive crisis then deciding he was essentially surplus to requirements.

That's despite playing in an Old Firm win at Ibrox and scoring the clinching goal as Celtic won their first home Champions League match for years.

Lagerbielke said at the time: "I didn't get much playing time at Celtic and both me and the club agreed that a loan would be very good for both parties.

"Then I considered my options and there were a few clubs in many different countries interested.

"I compared the advantages and disadvantages of all and had meetings with different clubs.

"After the meeting with Twente it felt like it was a very good match.

"They have a very clear focus on development with the way they train.

"They have a fairly small squad where they put a lot of responsibility on each player."

Getting him off the books would be a relief. Him and Nawrocki out the door and a fourth proper centre half in by the summer.

At this point I'd take anything. If we can sell him now and open up a loan spot.

    3-3.5m would be fair.

    1.75m isn't enough.

Not a chance we agree to sell him for less then half what we paid. I would be surprised if we do not push to at least get back what we paid for him.

We also never paid £4m for him it was a total package of £3m I am sure was reported at the time.

I suspect we would take £2m or there abouts to move him on as Rodgers made it abundantly clear he wasn’t for him.

We shouldn't be taking much of a hit on him, proving at Twente he's not useless, just not the right fit for us.
