Kinda feel for the fans that have spent a fortune travelling so own there and getting tickets. If we are writing it off

 

Have to wonder if CCV is still not truly 100% fit. Maybe taking the chance to rest him.

 

Think he’ll be a very good player in future and thought he deserved more game time. All the best to him.

BR said they are disappointed to be losing him, wonder if the player asked to leave.

 

He did. Made frustrations clear to Rodgers regarding game time and asked his loan to be cut short if that wasn’t realistically going to change.

Can’t blame the guy when he has Fabregas nipping his ear and the chance to live in that area of Italy and play in Serie A.

Rodgers, speaking ahead of Celtic's Champions League tie against Aston Villa, also confirmed that on-loan left-back Alex Valle has returned to Barcelona.

Asked if Valle's departure could lead to Tierney re-signing this month, Rodgers said: “Ideally it would [happen in January] but, at this moment, he’s still an Arsenal player.

"I think everyone is agreed that it will definitely take place in the summer. If we can do it beforehand, then great


On Valle, Rodgers added: "Alex won’t play again, sadly. He’s in Barcelona at the moment and he will probably then move on to another team.

"He’s another young player that’s contributed really well for us, played nearly 20 appearances, played in some very important games, made his Champions League debut and, especially at Atalanta, he was fantastic.

"We’re disappointed he’s left, but we have to move on."

 

Will he get a league winner’s medal?

I’d be amazed if we were signing off on that without a fair bit of confidence KT will be in the door by this time next weekend.

The league is done, but there’s a Scottish cup to play for and a knockout tie in the champions league coming up so going into that with Taylor and Scales as our left back options would be negligent as *, especially considering Scales is also our next best centre half.

 

Oh well. Came in as back up left back and did an ok job doing that. I understand his desire to move on if he wants more game time.

 

Guarantee (like Frimpong) will go onto do amazing things and we will look back and be proud to say he once played here.

Thought he looked really promising, albeit far from finished, think he'll have a good career. Absolute insanity that we've let him go without a guarantee that Tierney is back this month though. Surely we're not going in to the last few months with one left back who himself is gone in the summer as it stands?

 

Looked awright and had a couple of very good games for us. All the best to him but now we need KT in this window or else someone else to come in and provide cover until the summer.

 

No idea if he is good enough but see if we don’t get Tierney we should recall Matthew Andersson and see if he is worth keeping beyond the summer. We have 15 league games left if we win the next 7, we are at least 16 clear with only 24 points to play for so plenty of opportunities to give him a chance.

If Andersson proves useful, which I actually think he would then that’s potentially another home grown player for Euro squads.

 

Yea and 10% of every transfer for the rest of his career. That's my understanding of how loans work after reading it in a staunch forum.
