Jota has arrived and says it felt like the right decision to come back, saying: "I’m buzzing. It feels like home and for me that’s something I was aiming for. Going to Lennoxtown felt nostalgic - like I’d never left. It’s never easy, all the decisions have ups and downs and you need to be smart. But once I had time to think I understood this was the best step for my career. It feels right

When asked if he was confident of picking up where he left of he continued: "I hope so. Physically it’s not my best moment but that will come quickly with minutes and games I’m just getting to know some of the lads. Only nine remain since the last time. There’s a lot of talent, room for improvement and undertone orders of Brendan room to develop.

When asked about the decision to leave for Saudi 18 months ago he said: "It’s life, it’s a choice you make. You have to go through things. I’m someone who thinks you really need to go through these things. I have learned a lot of stuff and know myself in different wats that I never knew. I’m more mature and have a different vision of what I want to achive

Jota is Celtic's new poster boy, but it's been the end of the road for Kyogo. Asked about the Japanese hero he said: "Yeah, Kyogo is someone I had a very good relationship with on the pitch. This is football, everything changes from one moment to another. I wish I could still play with him a few more times but the wheel of football is always changing

There’s no amount of training that can give you what the game gives you. That’s what I’m looking for, to get back fit, train harder, play harder and gets the happiness I had before. I would say I appreciate my time here before more. It’s only when you leave you can look back and think ‘I had this’. But I developed myself in a way that I didn’t know, so it was really good for me aswell

Joat is relishing playing under Brendan Rodgers saying: "He was a key part of the move. I had a couple of talks with him. I understood his ideas and philosophy. He is a great manager and we are on the move to great things."

Good news Celtic fans - Jota doesn't think you should expect a different player to last time around. He explained: "I wouldn't say I'm much different. I'm obsessed about football and I always aim to have success and give happiness and joy to the people who come to the stadium. And to me, my family. In the end of the day it will always be about that. I wouldn't say I'm different. I've had quite a long journey but in football terms my goal and aim is still the same.

Jota made it clear he was gutted not to be pairing back up with Kyogo at Celtic Park, and no wonder. The duo ripped the Premiership apart during their two seasons playing together. In 83 games as a Celtic player Jota netted 28 times and registered 26 assists. During the two seasons when they were teammates Kyogo netted a whopping 54 goals and set up a further 10 - making them a bit of a dreamteam. No wonder they loved playing alongside each other

Adam Idah was a big money arrival over the summer but, despite playing a key role in securing a place in the Champions League knockout stages, he's struggled for goals this season. The big Irishman hasn't found the net since November, a run of 14 matches, but they say a striker is only as good as his service. And now there will be no excuses. Jota was a decent provider of chances for Georgios Giakoumakis during his last spell, and Idah is a similar sort of target to aim for

Patience seems to be the word of this month at Celtic Park, and unfortunately fans eager to see Jota back in the Hoops will have to show a little bit more.

UEFA rules mean that he won't be able to play in huge Champions League showdown at Villa Park on January 29. But the good news is that he can be registered in time for the knockout stage of the tournament That means he's in-line to make his second debut against managerless Motherwell at Fir Park on February 2.

When you add Tierney (and even Rodgers) returning, it’s almost farcical.

So he's not fully fit. So i won't be expecting him to be starting for a few weeks. Hopefully gets some minutes. I'm struggling to contain my excitement for the weekend now. Gonna be a * when he's not starting yet :56:

Aye but the problem now is....we can't be patient.....and we can't not feel the pressure to sign another striker.

Champions League next round and we just punted our star striker mid-season.

I hope the board are not patient and I hope they are feeling the pressure. Cause they should be!
Get that striker identified, located and bought. No last minute deals please I'd like us to be more organised than that

I have no doubt Maeda will move to CF and battle with Idah for the starting spot.

Obviously he has the speed and workrate to play there and even starts there ahead of Kyogo for Japan.
But Kyogo was a much better finisher and also we will never replace his movement. The timing of Kyogo's runs and how he could naturally lose his marker will be very difficult to replace. In fact I don't think we will be able to.

But for simply the numbers alone we must sign another centre forward. But if we are planning another big money signing it should be a player for the here and now. No projects. We don't have time for that right now. We need a striker who will hit the ground running. There's no leeway to allow a 'settling in' period. The player just simply must start scoring immediately

It also would not be beyond the realms of possibility that he moves on again for 20 odd million a couple of years doon the line

Interesting that it is a 5.5 year deal as well. That is a real statement of intent by both us and Jota as well. Exciting to have him back although it does sound like it will take some time for him to get back up to full fitness and match sharpness.
