    Bang on.

Some people will never be happy. And the same people will get a shock once he leaves again.

We are living in a period of unprecedented success.

The gaffers birthday yesterday, happy birthday Brendan.

Reflecting on this season and past seasons he’s been in charge, he’s been nothing but successful, but this has got to be his most successful year if he can pull off a treble. Pretty incredible when you consider he’s done nothing but win trebles when he’s here and he’s still trying to somehow top that standard. Incredible.

You would think the football was the same as it was under Strachan the way some fans carry on. Anybody who thinks the football this season has been slow and boring haven’t been watching us. Yes there’s been half a dozen or so games where we’ve not been great, and the Dortmund and huns game we were dreadful, but * me, you’d think we had been pish all season according to some.

    Fans are AFRAID.

Theres genuine concern after the sevco result, and alot of people arent going to sugar coat it, talking about "blips".
That Sevco side, with obvious omission of Igamane, are absolutely WOEFUL.

They bullied us, bossed us, ran * rings around us. With the worst of it being Rodgers getting tactically out thought by an absolute delusional balloon in the opposite dugout.

Rodgers has a verifiable history of 1-2 years of fantastic football, followed by form nosediving off a cliff. Its happened at every club hes been at. He wasnt sacked by liverpool and Leicester for nothing.

Whilst panicking at this stage would be preposterous, theres justifiable concern that this happening again, that this is the beginning of it. That once again, he's been "found out", and is too stubborn and egotistical to change it.

The same way ppl think theres a genuine "any excuse to have a go" is seeping into the fans, there is, on the flipside, a very committed and defensive section of the support who defend him to the death. Make excuses for his sackings and his genuinely woeful performance before he left us last time, "oh he didnt get the players he wanted/ oh the board * him on transfers".

NOBODY, not one Celtic fan alive should want to see him fail.

All Celtic fans just want to see him succeed, and some are fearful that in the near future, he might revert to type.

He is as good a manager as I think we can hope to get at Celtic but lets face it, hes had little to no competition domestically since hes been here. A treble now is not the same achievement as it was 20 years ago.

You seem to be basing all that on one game mate. It's football, we're no going to win every game. Aye they beat us well at ibrox, we were *, it happens. It doesnae mean all of a sudden rodgers is a * manager and clement is some mastermind who's going to pump us every time we play.

    Anyone afraid needs to settle.

It's as simple as that. We are still on course for a * insane season and a great January transfer window as well with a few more additions over the next week.

Things could be so so much worse. I'd put good money on us not being that bad against the Huns for some time.

    But it wasnt one game.

Folk had been chatting for weeks about how iffy we were looking.

And it wasn't that we were "*" either mate. We were downright shameful.

Weve played * more often than not against poorer sevco sides, and always saw our quality get the result.
This was different. This was so unbelievably poor that we made them, an atrocious bunch of wallopers, look like CL world beaters. Half that side wouldnt make our bench, but theres that diddy Hagi running through and around our backline like he was Messi. Raskin bullying and bossing the centre of the park. * RASKIN.

At the end of the day it was cumulative. Ppl had been getting fidgety long before that duffing.

We completely surrendered the midfield. The vast majority of fans can see we are in desperate need of a defensive mid. Does Rodgers? Going by the looks of our prospects this window it looks like its a position hes woefully going to neglect.

Thats what i mean when i say people are afraid.

That Sevco result was a perfect display to show us what we're lacking. Seriously, whats to stop Sevco giving us another doing, if Rodgers just buys a new winger this window? Or a new LB? Now we need a striker too.

This is what i mean when I say hes giving me the fear.

Genuine concerns? What because we went to Ibrox with no fans and got gubbed? That’s football. It can happen. Every Celtic manager has had it happen to them. They usually had many thousands of supporters backing the team when it happened also.

I couldn’t give two * what happened to Rodgers at Liverpool or Leicester. There’s a reason why Celtic fans were gutted when he left previously. That is because he is a very good manager.

It’s not making excuses for his transfers the last time. It’s just a fact that he clearly wanted John McGinn and the board didn’t back him to bring him in. We were bringing in boys like Gamboa, Hendry, Molumbu, Morgan etc etc for peanuts. What did folk expect to happen. He was backed in the summer I felt, and we have seen the benefits of that with our best European campaign in * knows how long.

The overreaction to some performances have been mental. We had just gone a full calendar year losing only two games, we then got scudded at Ibrox and you wanted him gone. I mean, cmon to *.

I dont disagree mate. Only point I was making is that its been much easier to win a treble during the Rodgers years.

See tbh mate, as much as I despise the *, they actually play against the better teams pretty well. Recent games against us and European games have kind of shown that. They press high to try and turn the ball over, and try and benefit from mistakes. In possession they have * all and hoof it long at every opportunity, but it does seem to cause teams bother. But they really struggle to break down SPL teams defending with 10 men with 6 feet 10 centre halves.

I've got total faith in our team to sort the * out in the next game once again.

Honestly, I have absolutely zero concerns because Rangers pumped us at Ibrox. They showed up like it was the biggest game of their season. We looked like it was a preseason friendly. Ultimately it was the same teams from the 1st derby when we won 3 0 and we've been consistently better than them since then.

Of course it was disappointing and I'd like to think Rodgers went through the players afterwards, but over that Xmas and new year period we ended up extending our lead. We can't even say that rangers were better than celtic over a couple of weeks. They were better over 90 minutes.

I don't think I've even thought about it much since a few days after the game.

Yep. That same hun outfit dropped points in 4 games, 2 either side of their big cup final..

Tells you everything about what they put in and how much it took out of them as opposed to us..

They were more up for it. It happens..

We're doing it consistently, when it matters....almost always against them as well. Seems some like to forget that..

We've had a wee tired spell of a couple of weeks or so overall but been excellent overall..

I'm not worried about that result as a single result.

Rangers' strength seems to be setting up to try to get something against sides with better players (e.g. Spurs and almost Man Utd). So straight away, you expect them to be gnarly. Then there's the advantage of Ibrox with no away fans. Finally, this was a must win for them, with them basically needing a win to keep any hope of a title race alive.

In contrast, we are a team that aims at quick passing and high-intensity football and everything was against that. Fixture congestion meant we didn't have the energy we had earlier in the season and will have later in the season, winter weather and pitches doesn't really suit our passing game and finally there was no pressure, because of the points difference. All of these things make it hard to play our particular type of football.

I'm much more worried about the last two finals that were very tight and could have gone either way. They suggest the gap is not as big as we like to think. There's definitely a big gap in the quality of football; but we looked physically weak in both those games and against Young Boys. We're definitely "bullyable" to coin a word.

The thing is, for as bad as the huns have been domestically, they have still done well enough in Europe, and they have shown in the past in Europe that they are capable of getting results against teams you wouldn’t expect them to do so. It was always going to happen at some point that they would beat us, we picked the best possible game to not turn up though, as the game on the 2nd was as close to a dead rubber as you can get at that stage of the season. If they come to Celtic Park and turn us over, then I’ll have more to say.
