Celtic could finalise the £9million return of Jota on Monday.

The Portuguese winger is poised to make a Parkhead comeback just 18 months after leaving for Saudi Arabia. Jota was back in Glasgow on Saturday to finalise negotiations on a long-term agreement which is understood to be four-and-a-half years. Manager Brendan Rodgers had stated on Friday that he hoped the transfer could be concluded within 24 hours. But with no confirmation throughout Sunday, Celtic could make their announcement on Monday

Jota’s potential return has captured the imagination of the supporters who were left deflated when he departed for Al-Ittihad in a £25m switch. The 25-year-old’s move didn’t work out and he was subsequently transferred to Rennes last summer. Jota fell out of favour with boss Jorge Sampaoli, opening the door for Celtic to make a move

 

Idah will be hungrier than ever to claim the spot.

Really do not understand the hold up on this and the kyogo deal. Both celtic and rennes seemed to heavily hint it's all done and dusted, 3 days later we still do not have an announcement on either player.

I am very inpatient I know but we all just want to see this confirmed. Sure rennes fans are the same

 

The French outlet that broke the story about Kyogo/ Jota deals is reporting we are paying around €6m +10% of next fee not £9m now. Also seen it mentioned as up to €8m so £6.7m

That fee would make a lot of sense as it had been quoted they would accept about £6m for him before our interest came out.

The Jota on the wing song has been stuck iny head past few days, its annoying me to the point that i wish he wasnt coming back

 

That same article also said Kyogo’s fee was €10 million rather than €12 million. So although it suggests we are paying less for Jota than we thought it doesn’t make much difference since we are also apparently getting €2m less for Kyogo

 

Considering they want rid of Jota, I don't think it's really possible to charge more than they paid unless there is a line of suiters for him. So if 8m euro sounds about right.
