The comparison between him & Kyogo really excites me. We have to pay the money.

I share your reservations on Kvitsgaarden.

I think what we are witnessing is the regurgitation of tired and lazy media speculation on Kvitsgaarden, by the usual suspects, Stephen McGowan, Anthony Joseph and the Daily Record in the wake of Kyogo's departure to Rennes. As I have said before, I am far from convinced that Rodgers and Paul Tisdale are even actively considering the Danish winger/converted striker, especially at the gob smacking fee of £13.5M for a player who has done nothing of note in his footballing career, with no International Caps or Champions League experience, and who at a stocky 5'8. does not fit the recognised profile of a Rodger's striker. and comes from a relatively poor footballing league.

Who in their right footballing mind, would want to shell upwards of £13.5M on a converted winger, who has had one, single arguable successful season as a striker in the lowly Danish League, which would be a record signing for us, to replace our No.1 Champions League striker Kyogo, when there is probably much better perceived value, superior pedigree and much lower risk to be had elsewhere, even if they are initially loans with an option?.

We appear to be the only concrete interest, which in itself, is unsettling, because if Kvitsgaarden was as good as he is cracked up to be, then surely there would be a host of other clubs lining up to sign him too ?

Just seen his highlights video and does look good. Usually steer clear of highlight videos as once seen one for Jason Cummings playing in Australia and made him look a player.

Looks the sort we need. Doesn't seem to be nailed down to one style of playing which is very useful

First time I saw him playing for us I genuinely thought he had something physically wrong with him. I didn’t suspect that his hands were made of poppadoms, but you live and learn.

He's still at their winter training camp in America apparently.

Although things can obviously move quickly, would be good to get some assurance on this or someone else even at the start of the week.

We could be waiting for Kyogos move getting finalised. But I don't think we'll go for him i think we have another striker in mind. Just a feeling I have

Aye. I want us to sign him but the fact that he's the one in the press is weirdly making me less confident given that normally it tends to be someone we've not been linked with.

I think it could be the Swede from Hammarby. Erabi.

Now they are coming for Mathias Kvistgaarden

Celtic are expected to reach out to Brøndby IF regarding Mathias Kvistgaarden, reports Sky Sports

Are you ready by the phone, Benjamin Schmedes?

If the phone rings and Brøndby's sporting director can see that it's a number with the country code +44 that wants to reach him, the German is probably wise to answer it. It's a call that could potentially bring the Superliga club many millions.

Now Celtic intend to approach Brøndby IF in the hope of reaching an agreement for Mathias Kvistgaarden, writes Sky Sports.

The Scottish giants are about to sell striker Kyogo Furuhashi to Rennes for just under 90 million kroner, and that sends Celtic into the field looking for a replacement – and at the same time with money in their pockets to splash out.

It is in this context that reports now indicate that Celtic, who have long been interested in Mathias Kvistgaarden, are ready with a bid for the Brøndby star, who is number two on the Superliga's top scorer list.

Whether Brøndby IF is worth a shot or a stab is questionable, because the blue-and-yellows don't have long to find a replacement if Mathias Kvistgaarden leaves in this transfer window. Conversely, the bid could of course be so large that the Superliga club has little choice but to sell the 22-year-old goal machine.

Brøndby IF will certainly try to land a transfer fee around the magical 100 million kroner

Know it'd been speculated for a while but I can see us going all out for him the minute the Kyogo deal is done. Finally.

Selling Kyogo for 90 million and can’t even cough up 10 million for this lad, sheesh.

Is Mathias Kvistgaarden going to leave this month?

There have been many rumors about a possible move to Celtic, but now Dutch media VoetbalPrimeur brings the Dane into play as a possible subject at Ajax. At the same time, Kasper Dolberg is also mentioned.

Ajax looks set to lose first striker Brian Brobbey this winter, and according to media reports, the Amsterdam club will then sign a replacement.

And it is in this context that VoetbalPrimeur has made a list of 10 possible candidates for Ajax's striker hunt.

On that list we find both Mathias Kvistgaarden and Kasper Dolberg.

    – In Kasper Dolberg, Ajax know exactly what they are getting… In Belgium, Dolberg is finally doing well again (for RSC Anderlecht, ed.). He has made a big impression this season and scored twelve times in twenty games before an injury put an end to him. The former Ajax player has been out of action for a month now, but is expected to return within a few weeks, it is said about Dolberg.

    The media writes about Kvistgaarden:

    – If Ajax want to go the Danish way, they can also look at Mathias Kvistgaarden. Kvistgaarden is in excellent form for Brøndby, and he has scored fourteen times and provided five assists in 22 games this season. He can also play on the wings.

    – At 1.74 meters, Kvistgaarden is not particularly tall, but he has a strong build, and he is quite dynamic and is good in the main game thanks to good timing. The Dane, who has played on almost all youth national teams, works hard and keeps going.

In addition to the two Danes, Superliga star Paul Onuachu from Southampton is also mentioned by VoetbalPrimeur.

Whether Ajax will end up selling Brian Brobbey and looking towards one of the strikers on the list, time will tell. Right now it is only speculation.

Ajax is currently second in the Eredivisie.

Kinda feel its now or never for this deal. His price is gonna keep going up for the foreseeable. Plus be great to bed him in straight away for any CL qualifiers.

Barry is off to Hull and there's no other strong links in the forward areas currently.

    Ajax being linked now.

It shows that clubs have done their homework. Both them and Eintracht don't * about scouting wise.

    Get it done.
