I've added to my post above since you quoted me.

But regardless, you are picking at things to suit your argument. Rodgers was still here for longer than Ange was the first time.

Your obvious dislike for Rodgers is clouding your judgement here. Kyogo wanted to leave. You don't change agents if you're happy.

Good players can play in more than 1 system.

He also had 18 months to adapt to the system and didn't.

Same reason he can't get a game for Japan

You can tell some people on here will just never take to Rodgers again, they'd rather invent scenarios in their head and get annoyed at that instead of looking at the bigger picture.

Just in the other thread you've got @Sentinel blaming the system yet again when it's been explained 100's of times that Kyogo has missed a lot, and I mean a lot, of chances.

I'll miss the wee man a lot, brought a lot of happy memories, but it was the right time to move on imo.

I am telling it like it is, Rodgers style of football is not great to watch, very slow, very turgid and predictable, Adam Idah, an unfit Jota and some PL striker under 21 or Reserve on loan isn't exactly great is it?

Aye I agree fully. He's missed a lot particularly this season. Games against Dundee/Dundee United and a few others past month or so immediately spring to mind. I think before the county game he'd only gotten 1 away goal in a long stretch of games too. Until September last year he hadn't scored an away goal since October 2023!

His transfer hasn't hit me as bad as Jota did or even Dembele tbh. Main reason being I don't think he's been great for some time and 6 goals in 24 games suggests that.

I might take some slating for this but, for me, his outputs certainly this season won't be that hard to replace. I think that's why I'm not as fussed about him leaving as I would have been say 18 months ago.

His movement we won't find anywhere else as it's truly top level. But finishing wise and ability on the ball/link up I think we can and who knows it may even improve us as a side overall.

We may not, but I'm confident we can. The club have earned a bit of trust back, for me.

Hey mate, we haven't been linked to an under 21 striker on loan this window, or even the last.

Why are you making things up?

I have no trust in the Club to get decent replacements in, will be more 18-21 projects who are no better than what We have.

Was also going to add that I think he escaped a * of a lot of criticism which would have been justified but maybe too soon...:fear:

If Adam Idah goes nearly a year without scoring away from home * will want him crucified.

Aye he got a bit of an easy ride when you look at his stats over the last 18 months due to being a really likeable wee guy and being immensely popular amongst the support.

Take that away and talk of best since Larsson is absolutely mental

What is your benchmark though? We are on course for a double or treble, 13 points clear in the league, and we have qualified for the champions league playoffs with a game to spare on the same points as Dortmund, Bayern, Juve and Madrid, and ahead of PSG and Man City.

We are hopefully soon to bring in Tierney who is a legit top player, and Jota who was worth 25m just a couple of seasons back and who we loved when he were here (same goes for Tierney). Kyogo wanted to go months back. Such is life. If we replace him properly that's a pretty good window. We are clearly operating at a level above where we were when Rodgers took over, especially considering we also spent 20m on Idah and Engels.

If all that isn't enough, what does success look like?

The football we were playing before the international break is right up there with the best I've seen at Celtic. Right up there.

Couldn't agree more, mate. Frankly speaking, the board have astonished me recently. I did not think they would spend £9 million on Idah or £11 million on, well, anyone! The Jota thing is amazing (in the literal sense of the word). The board were not under any pressure to do that and £9 million is a lot of money for us regardles of what we sold him for.

I still maintain that the summer Rodgers came back is one of our worst ever transfer windows and certainly the worst backing I've ever seen any new manager get and it might have cost us the league and probably did cost us the league cup; but it can't be denied that in the two-and-a-half windows since then, they've absolutely knocked it out of the park. If it's true to say (and I think it is) that his backing that summer was the worst I've seen a new manager get post-McCann, it's also equally true to say that the backing he's had since then is the best any manager has had since MON. And they've been sensible transfers too. Whenever we've spent big, it's been on players with a high development ceiling and a big potential sale.

I'm sure the board will do something to spoil it at some point; but I'm so happy with them right now. They have a lot of credit in the bank with me (as does Rodgers).

Yeah I thought it's been pretty good.

I think there a lots of reasons why things feel a bit flat and samey, but Rodgers style isn't one of them.
