    We can’t have all our eggs in one basket. If a deal for our main target(s) doesn’t materialise, we’re far better having this kind of thing as a back up than risking panic buying an Ajeti or similar.

    It definitely is reading as though Kvistgaaeden is rhe primary target and if we can't reach agreement with Brondby we will get a loan deal in and revisit in the summer or completely move on.

    Complete guesswork but it would make sense.

    I'd say its more about whether we can sort the fee. I'd imagine they're willing to let him move but only if they get what they want, as we probably did with Jota, O'Riley etc.

    It's shambolic planning if true. A loan move is fine if we have an established primary option in a position and want mere cover. If Kvistgaarden cannot be gotten, surely we could buy a player unwanted at his club.

    It really isn't.

    I'd rather get a decent quality loan in to compete with Idah and Kenny than panic buy or overpay for a second, third maybe even fourth choice option.

    We are potentially putting a lot of effort into that deal as well and it could go to the wire so a loan may be the only feasible approach.

    Hopefully doesn't come to that.

    If we have known for months that Kyogo wants to leave, we have had those same months to break Brondby's will and get Kvistgaarden. I get the fear we aren't really sure whom do we want, or that Kvistgaarden is waiting for a Bundesliga bid. We don't have the time to wait. Overpay if needed, the coffers won't exactly be gutted.

    Moch on KDS posting a Swedish flag in reference to a potential young player to come in and develop as a striker.

    Guy at Hammarby was mentioned a week or so back. Jusef Erabi, maybe him.

    I think that's risky. Would rather we spent decent money on a replacement. Kvistgaarden is also young aye but over 100 appearances and in a rich vein of form.. clearly ready to go.

    Last thing we is another lump with a fairly poor career scoring record.

    Idah already fits that profile.. and it would be a absolute pisstake if we replaced our first choice striker with anything less than a quality prospect.

    What do you define as a prospect?

    In a way, Kvistgaarden would be deemed a prospect, still a young player who's developing, but I think everyone on here would happily take him.

    The japanese boy who was linked is definitely not a prospect, and whilst he doesn't look bad I don't many on here would be happy if he was Kyogo's replacement.

    I don't think we'll be going down the Yang route when replacing Kyogo, if we end up bringing a loan player in (with no option) for only 6 months that would tell me we're waiting until the Summer to get our main target as it's fell through/can't be done.

    Hopefully it doesn't come to that, I have a good feeling we'll get Kvistgaarden
