My Mrs pal sent her a pic from her house down in Darnley, next door neighbour's shed was in her back garden fully intact. :56:

Wall/fence at communal bit at ours fell down pretty early on. Hoping this dies down a bit now because the window in the living room is creaking like *.

My astroturf back garden ripped to shreds and is now situated in several of my neighbours back gardens. Part of my fence gone as well. *!

Think my fence is the only one still standing on the street and that only because I spent time propping it up yesterday. Windows have been walloped with stuff a few times, thought they were coming in.

I went to the shop there for a tin of mixed vegetables and some chopped tomatoes. Also got alcohol. There’s a lot of damage, fences and trees down- one house whose tile loss was really bad.It was a struggle to walk once or twice and some mad metal thing narrowly missed me but it’s not as bad as has been made out.

Happens all the time - empty wagons and strong winds don’t mix well - see it all the time on motorways - with or without different coloured warnings.

You’ve seen multiple artic lorry’s being toppled within the space of a couple of hours before on the same day?

No need to try play it down mate, it’s been a * of a day weather wise and they called it right making it a red weather warning thankfully otherwise there would have been more lives lost.

100% yes - no doubt someone who drives lorries or who is on road consistently would vouch for that.

In my experience it was road from Kilmarnock to Glasgow which was worst I’ve seen in one day - multiple incidents.

Probably news stories etc to back that up but I’m not going looking.

So there you go,like it or lump it,but I’m right and you’re wrong.
