    He's a mod on there.

Has stated we want 4 I think. Jota and KT included. The 3rd will be a striker but not sure about the 4th.

Alot of chat about loan striker coming in and as long as it's with a striker we buy then that's fine. Under no circumstances should it only be a loan striker.

By selling Kyogo we should have already been far down the line with getting someone in.

CL qualification next season I'm sure and need someone in and settled for that.

I wouldn't be bothered if it was a loan as it could sometimes lead to getting a better quality player than we normally would get. We should aim to get the best quality players available to us at all times, loan or not.

We’re still crying out for a proper CDM, even in the first half on Wednesday where we played very well the few times we did lose the ball they were in behind our 3 midfielders so easily, and a better quality side punish us. They were * so we got away with it, but the likelihood is we don’t in the next stage of the competition.

For me, a midfielder who’ll sit and protect the back 4 is as important as a striker but unfortunately it’s a position that seems to have been neglected now by 3 previous managers so I can’t see that changing this month. We have the funds there and have managed to clear a decent amount of deadwood from the squad so no reason why we can’t go out and get both.

The "problem" with a CDM for us, is for around 85% of our games, we don't need one.

I totally, fully understand and agree, we could do with one for some games (Europe and/or Hun games), but outside of them, we'd not want to play a big bruising CDM.

So what calibre would we be buying? A Wanyama level? Or a Molumbo level?

One would likely cost more than he'd play and the other wouldn't be good enough.

Not sure we will go for one, although I do agree we could do with one.

The chat seems to be we know who we want to buy and will if we can do a deal, sounds like the media think it’s Kvistgaarden. However, if a deal can’t be done then we want to loan a striker to the summer.

Obviously buying the new striker will be the main objective if a deal can be done. If no one else from a bigger league bites on Kvistgaarden or whoever our main target is, I think they will be here before the end of the window.

The reason I would be confident if it is Kvistgaarden is from a Danish source about Brondby needing to sell someone to financially balance the books. If Frankfurt have signed Wahi and already have Ekitike and they have that wonder kid player Can Uzan who either plays up top or just off a striker.

Although they have a lot of money to spend as their transfer dealings of late have largely been excellent. So let’s hope they aren’t interested.

I don't think it's a CDM we should sign but a * version of Moussa Dembele (Belgian one).

A powerful, technical player who can play any position across the midfield.

Not easy to find but they're out there. An out and out, one track mind defensive mid doesn't really suit us. We need someone who can do a bit of everything. The Huns have played a defensive minded midfielder for years domestically, sometimes two, and it's a big part of their issues imo. Whilst helping for Europe, aye.

I'm maybe giving him too much credit for some of his play, but a Bitton type?
    But better?

Not for me he frustrated the life out of me.

Too slow and actually a big shitebag. Prime Paul Lambert reincarnate would be great if possible!

On CDM we don't need or want a one dimensional bruiser - as others mentioned we only need that in certain games.

We need someone with CalMac passing ability but also super fit and prepared to aggressively close down and put his foot in.
I know they don't grow on trees especially with our budget, but needs to be a Kante / Lambert / Lennon type player.
Cross Maeda with CalMac and we'd be close!

I've slaughtered the board for lack of ambition and shopping in bargain basement market for too long.
To be fair we now seem to finally be recruiting from the right market.
If we can move our trading model to that next level, watch the team improve and the extra cash come in, it's win win - if we have the bottle and ambition.

We nearly made extra 6m more than them in win/loss money.

surely our board will see these crazy figures we made this year from champion league and fully back Brendan and land us few 10 million players.
      We badly need holding midfielder
      Two wingers
      Striker
Left back or 2 if Taylor is going to

our board need show some ambitions this transfer window and get us properly prepared for qualifiers to champion league this summer
Give these players 4 months to settle and have full pre season in summer with squad. Instead signing players in July /aug and take time to get up to speed

Iwata was a happy middle ground imo

And as much as people say we don't need one for majority of the games and I get the argument, 2 of our best performances last season were 4 - 1 Hibs and 7 - 1 v Dundee both at home and he started both alongside McGregor so it did work.

Rodgers and Ange used him well, again it's the argument he wasn't needed majority of games from the start but they'd usually bring him on last half hour to see out games. Was the perfect use of a DM for us although he probably wasn't a strong enough one

I think Mulumbu was absolutely good enough. He just had a level of professionalism and attitude to training that made Ntcham look like Cristiano Ronaldo.

Yes, a Paul Lambert would be perfect! McGregor works hard on his defensive game; but he doesn't have good instincts defensively. There was a Young Boys break (at a time where we were on top) where he got sucked towards the ball in a position where he was clearly too far away to break up theit attack and it left a huge gap in front of our defence.
