Aye, I wasn't sure around the homegrown/club grown aspect that KT would fall into to..

I believe we brought back Dane Murray to fulfill our homegrown quota, as Welsh left on loan.. not sure if we could add KT instead..

And then add another 3 on top.

it would likely be €3.1m euros extra for winning as a win would likely have us in top 16. I think too many are looking at what the table currently looks like.

Me just being a cheeky little *, it's frustrating to see the CL table and know that those 2 draws that arguably should have been wins could have seen us into top 8.

Heck we could have lost to Brugge beat Dinamo, beat Young Boys and then really made the Villa game interesting going into the final game with both trying to fight for top 8 as a win against Dinamo could have us sitting I think of 14? Which would have put us 1 point ahead of Villa and us sitting 8th.

But the fact we've gotten this far so quickly in this new format is all credit to the manager and players and I can't wait to see who we get in the play offs

Yup! There's gonna be serious movement on that table over the course of Wednesday night, I'd imagine...

Would be really gutting to draw a team like Bayern in the playoff. Hope we can nick a result on Wednesday and make top 16 and have the second leg at Parkhead at least.

Lille - Feyenoord to draw and us to lose, would give us a good chance of getting on of them. But let’s just win it and hopefully straight to last 16.

We would be away from home in the second leg I believe. The top 8 seeds will have that advantage. In fact, I think the top two seeds are guaranteed that advantage all the way to the final.

Apologies, I’ve completely misread what you said. I read it as you hoping we’d get a home second leg in the last 16, not that we’d get into the top 16 and therefore be seeded for the playoff round. My bad.

I would rather win or at least take a point from Villa & see who we get next round.

Ye can just imagine all the mental gymnastics and mathematics tonight trying to work out who we get in playoff. What will be will be only thing certain we can't finish any lower than 22nd

The only thing I had really looked at was if we lose we will stay 18th if

    - Liverpool beat PSV
    - Juventus don’t lose to Benfica
    - Sporting don’t beat Bologna
    - PSG and Stuttgart draw.
    - Man City beat Brugge.

For every one of the above that doesn’t go our way we will drop a place, the lowest we can be is 23rd.

A draw might see us overtake a few clubs depending on their results that’s Monaco, Lille, Feyenoord and Brest. We wouldn’t jump both the middle two as they play each other and a winner will have a shout at being top 8.

Ultimately if we got the 5 results above, and we get a draw, one of Lille or Feyenoord win by 2 goals and Real Madrid beat Breast by 2 goals, we would come 16th, get the seeding and be due to play Brest or whoever lost from Feyenoord vs Lille. This is probably the best outcome for us and possibly an even better one than us winning tonight from a league positioning point of view but you can imagine the odds of all the above happening are slim.

The only other result that seems remotely plausible that could boost our position is Inter beating Monaco but they would need to win by 3.

Facing either Real Madrid or Bayern Munich in the playoffs. Oh well.

I'd argue Bayern might be beatable. They are nothing special this season.

It’s such a pity as a draw would have had us up at 17th and playing Benfica or PSV. I know Liverpool had won all their other games but I think what they did tonight is poor. The only team doing it of the 36.
