:50:Saudi climate and the overall lifestyle there tend to ruin players. If we can get Jota without selling Kyogo, I'd be okay with it.

Problem is sadly, looks like Kyogo wants to go.
His body language has been subdued last year or so, he voiced his frustration - he believes he's not getting the service he needs to be successful.
I'll personally be gutted if he leaves, but will wish him well.

I agree with him! Last night Kuhn could have easily passed but wanted the glory and it went to poo!

Would be sad too see Kyogo go but let’s face it he’s 30 and between him and idah I would say there’s not a lot of goals there which there should be from a Celtic striker , bring jota in in and a goal scorer and we will notice a big difference and be less reliant on goals from midfielders and wingers

This will be the weirdest feeling of a transfer yet. If anything it’s a smart play on the board knowing a huge portion of fans will be upset Kyogo leaves….with that helped by Jota coming back. All the reports before said he didn’t want to come back so I wonder what’s changed?

It’s definitely not utter bullshit to have an opinion that moving to Saudi shows a lack of football career ambition, you might not agree with it (I partially don’t) but it’s going to do absolutely nothing for your career progression as since has played out.

If anything i would imagine it would be a loan to end of season. I don't see him wanting to come back here, he done 2 years in glasgow why would you want to come back at the age he is at surely somewhere else in the world would be better than coming back here.

From a purely footballing perspective, moving to Saudi is a complete lack of ambition. From a family and life in general perspective, it’s absolutely the right thing to do and every Celtic player would have done the same.

He moved to a relatively new league set up, sampled a whole new culture, moved out of his comfort zone and sure the massive amounts of remuneration on offer played a part in that overall decision but to describe him as lacking ambition for doing that is bullshit.
What would be a lack of ambition would be then, when things didn't pan out as hoped, remaining in Sadui raking in the full value of his contract instead he has accepted it wasn't a good move and moved on. At worst it was a bad choice. Simple really.

Which is why I said I partially disagree because he’s the type of lad that will want to experience new places and cultures. No issues there from a human perspective.

However, to call someone’s (valid) opinion that moving to Saudi lacks career ambition is in itself, ironically, complete bullshit. However you want to chop it up the financial gain proved a bigger pull to him at the time than career progression which the proof is now in the pudding of as he toils to get a game for Rennes and is being shipped out the door.

As Sky Sports News revealed last night, Celtic and Rennes are also separately in talks over Jota.

The Portuguese winger has been frozen out at Rennes since joining from Al-Ittihad in the summer.

Celtic are in the market for a winger in this window and a return for Jota is one of a number of options they are looking

If he’s not involved with the Kyogo deal then can’t see it happening, get the Norweigen winger in.
