    Seems Frankfurt are looking elsewhere.

Surprising as I'd definitely be wanting £20m easy.

He's one that if we don't sign we will regret looking back in a years time. For me.

Well we need a striker in and will have just sold ours. I don’t think we ever envisaged paying what we did for Engels but waited until O’Riley was sold and probably ended up paying a premium on him.

I am not convinced Frankfurt definitely want him, it sounds like anything I have seen reported from Germany is he was offered to them on the back of their sale and they signed the boy Wahi from Marseille or are going too.

I know MOR isn’t home grown but we were looking at £20m - £30m only after MOTM performances in the UCL against top sides.

I don’t think we’d expect that much for any player that hasn’t shown it in Europe yet.

Yeah hypothetically if we sell Kyogo we would need a striker but we don’t really have that need if we don’t sell.

Brondby by the sounds of it are under pressure to sell due to their deficit. I’d also imagine the player will be wanting to move on while opportunities are there.

If they get their money then fair play, but right now it sounds like they’re doing what the Huns did by pushing far too high and unsettling their players.

Yeah I’m not convinced the Germans want him either, especially for that type of amount.

Had a look at Kvistgardeen stats in Europe this season albeit not Champions league but he has 2 Goals & 1 Assist in 3 in Europe. Plus he has scored a few against Copenhagen which is the equivalent of us vs the Huns so he's a big game player. I would pay the 13 million.

I think those goals and assists were in the third qualifying round of the Conference League against Legia Warsaw - and thats the upper limit of his European experience. It's not nothing but it's pretty close to negligible. Kilmarnock and St. Mirren players

I've wanted him here for a long time, but even if he turns into a £20m player I don't think we should be paying over the odds, and £13m is clearly over the odds for me.

Engels I think was about a fair price. Idah we clearly got caught out and overpaid for. It's not something I would do regularly. There's plenty more players out there once you're looking at an £8m+ buying price.

It's not like I'm saying go super cheap on prospects again - but just because we have money doesn't mean we should buckle and pay inflated prices.

I’ve only ever seen some YouTube videos and read the chat on here about him, so I’m not going to pretend I have any real insight in to his quality, but the guy absolutely has the profile of someone we should be targeting.

I said it during the summer regarding guys like Diawara & Sanches, and it applies to Kvistgaarden too (probably even more so) but they all remind me of the sort of players who get bought by clubs comparable to our own, or at least have similar spending power, who eventually go on to smash it, get sold for big money and then people will inevitably come on here and wonder what could’ve been.

If we’re operating under the assumption that a decent chunk of the potential £10 million we get for Kyogo is largely going to be used to buy a replacement, and I’m at least willing to give the club the benefit of the doubt when it comes to that, then we’ve already covered a significant % of Brondby’s asking price. Sticking an extra few million on top of that, which should be easily covered by our CL successes, doesn’t seem that excessive (especially in today’s market). If we can find some bargains in the low-to-mid seven-figure range, that’s great (and we should absolutely still be looking at that market) but we also need to start making more of these sort of moves.

He honestly looks the perfect fit for us..

    Scores all types
Right foot, left foot, good in the air for a smaller guy
    Strong and aggressive as well
    Quick
    Versatile
    Decent link up
    Forces mistakes
Involved in a lot of the play
    Only gonna keep improving

He'd be good as an outlet in our front 3 in Europe but domestically with the amount of chances we create and his physicality and pace. Won't be rugged up by the cloggers by the looks of it..

    Any credible outlets reporting this?

I know Juco James can divide opinions but when it comes to player analysis via data he is normally reasonably accurate. He profiled Kvistgaarden and looked at players with similar characteristics and where not saying he is at that level (which James) clarifies he says he profiles very closely to Wirtz from Leverkusen in terms of his attributes and style of play.

Anything I have seen of Kvistgaarden from the end of the 22/23 season onwards has been impressive.

Tbh I'm not that arsed if we pay it.

Its not my money and with kyogo going we'd essentially be taking 3.5m out the coffers.

I'm pretty confident he's the right fit for us. As fans I dunno why we worry as much about a 4-5m difference between fees.

Edouard never scored in the CL, his Europa tally wasn't amazing either, we all wanted a premium for him.

I put us into 350m debt and got banned from Europe for one season.

But won 3 UCLs. I know what I'd take.
