Scored the first goal of my newborn son’s life back in Feb 2023 vs the huns in the cup final. I will always have a soft spot for him for that.

Sad to see him go but it’s probably best for both parties provided we actually replace him

But but but but it's hard to do deals in January and nobody wants to lose their top players. Is what is repeatedly hammered home to us an excuse.

If it's a good offer and player wants to leave it gets done.

Hopefully this will shut up some people in transfer thread.

Still gutted to lose him but good business

Best of luck Kyogo. Times probably right, dont begrudge him his move!

Prime hunskelper and all round good guy. Leaves with some amount of silverware and memories.

3 SPFL Premiership titles (likely 4)
    2 Scottish cups
    3 league cups

It's been an absolute pleasure wee man

Gutted to see him go, but excited to see who we bring in, never thought much business would be done in Jan tbh, but looks like that won't be the case.

Jota and KT would be magic.

    Wow, this escalated quickly!

Need to replace him asap. Kvistgaarden seems like a good shout both in terms of ability and style of play.

Sad to see him go, but it feels like the writings been on the wall for a while. I don’t think he’s ever quite gelled with Rodgers style and his form has dipped a bit in general (whether that’s just a natural post-peak decline, or something a change of scenery might fix, who knows). While I would’ve liked him to stick around a bit longer, it does sort of feel like the right time.

He’s probably been my favourite player throughout his spell here, and he’ll always be the defining player of the Ange-era for me.

I will say though, if a major factor in his wanting a move away is truly because of his lack of call-ups for Japan, it just further solidifies how much I can’t be arsed with a lot of these wanks managing national sides.

There's scenarios that where losing gives us a better draw btw

Top 8 is not realistic no matter what we do.. we could win and get a significantly tougher draw than if we lost. So there is no point worrying about it too much. Clear kyogo wants to go and there was a gentleman's agreement that it would be done when knockout CL was secured. The time is right imo.

Sad to see the wee guy go, even more gutted none of his goals counted last night now as he looked like a man possessed first half.

If I am honest, I think this has been lingering since the summer and probably impacted his performance this season so far.

He has been a great signing particularly that first 6 months, we would never have won that league without him as he was almost a one man team at times, including the league cup final with one hamstring. Controversially, despite turning into a poaching machine and his goal scoring the next season, I actually don’t think he was ever quite at that electric level he came in with prior to that injury.

An infectious character and top player we have been blessed to have. I can only hope whichever striker we get in has the same sort of impact. In modern day football it is very rare that we get someone who comes in and hits the ground running the way Kyogo did.

On another note I am not sure we will ever see as successful a transfer window or two windows that Ange first two turned out to be again. The hit rate from performances on the park to finances generated from those players from bargain prices is insane.

All the best wee man. What a signing he turned out to be..

    Was utter class..

Don't know if he'll be Kyogo level pressing but Kvistgaarden looks like he'll be able to press well..

What a brilliant player. Best striker we’ve had in a while. But there comes a time when selling a player just makes sense for everyone. 30 and getting a fee like that is very good as he will be worth not even half that this time next year. He’s never probably fitted in under Rodgers imo, although still chipped in with goals. He’s on the decline also and if I’m honest we need better especially for Europe.

I'll miss him. He was an iconic and pivotal player for us and certainly my favourite striker post-Larsson.

He is the most negative person on this forum..I think sitting in his company for 5 minutes would be like the scene in airplane when Stryker is telling his stories and every person is thinking of suicide.
