There is no such thing as perfect time to leave but this is as close to it as possible. Taking all emotions aside, it makes sense. We have enough of a cushion in the league, it’s £10m in the coffers for a replacement and he’s 30 years old. Hes hardly been on fire anyway if we are being brutally honest. I love the wee guy and will miss him, but the time is right. Look at that mob across the city how they messed up with fat boy. He was arguably in much better form when they rejected a bid and ended up getting nothing for him. At 30 years old, we run a good risk of losing Kyogo for nothing in a year or two.

 

If this is the end then sayonara and thanks for all you have done for the club and in particular the misery you gave the huns.

 

He has been a great servant & can leave with the goodwill of the fans.

 

Hopefully we have someone else lined up to come in and replace him. Otherwise this would be shocking selling him and not having someone else lined up.

I think it's probably the right time he moved on tbh. He's been brilliant for us and we've been brilliant for him, would prefer he left at the end of the season but if he has to go now then so be it. Surely we have got a replacement in the pipeline to even be entertaining it though, I'll be pretty annoyed if we don't.
On a side note, I dunno how much it will improve his international prospects, I think the manager just doesn't fancy him, he still picks Maeda despite him playing in Scotland.

 

We need someone who can press like *. It's an underrated part of Kyogos game, he's relentless and only eclipsed by Maeda.

Rennes gaffer has spoken about him in his presser. Wouldn't do that if it wasn't happening surely. Will miss the wee man big time.

 

Seen a quote going around that Rennes Manager hopes the move is finalised today. Gutted man. Wee guy was one of the best and delivered a lot of big moments for us and gave me fantastic memories. Thanks for everything Kyogo.

 

Gutted as he has been an absolute superstar for us.

 

Would be immensely sad to see him go, such a fantastic player and professional. My worry is bringing in another striker who is eligible to play in the next round of the champions league.

Hope it is him, really good variety of goals in his highlights and looks a bit more physical and stronger in the air than Kyogo.

 

Ach well, thanks for the memories big man. Absolutely loved him for us, but it feels like the right time, so long as we have a replacement lined up.
