It looked like we had fluffed our lines by the 80th minute and we looked a little flat. Then Hatate does what he does and we get a bit of luck which had deserted us in the first half. 3 disallowed goals and a missed penalty is crazy. We seemed to run out of ideas second half buy kept plugging away and got our rewards.

Tonight was about ego and prestige. We showed in thus campaign that we belong at this level and that we can have confidence in ourselves. Big kudos to Rodgers as well- I never thought I could truly forgive him for leaving us. This campaign has helped to heal those wounds. He has done an amazing job.

Thought he was pretty decent to be honest. Maeda’s could’ve been a pen but for me wasn’t, the one we got was extremely soft. Didn’t buy a lot of their * and despite the red being incredibly soft I’d put more blame on Maeda. You’re never getting off without a red card for that in European football.

Considering some of the * idiots we’re used to domestically or have seen in European games gone past I genuinely thought that guy was pretty good.

Actually forgot about the maeda penalty claim. I thought it was more a penalty than the one we got.

Agreed but even still I don’t think it was a pen. If it went against us we’d all be absolutely fuming.

Was maeda not right through and the boy put two hands on his back pushing him off balance. At the time i was shouting for Maeda to make more of it and at least claim for it. For me it was a pen, might have been the reason we got the Taylor one right enough.

    Here the whole time
A deserved result on the night but we didn't half make heavy weather of it.

Tonight's game was like a mini parallel of our campaign as a whole. Should have been much more straightforward than it turned out, but ultimately got there in the end by hook or crook.

Yeah Maeda was through and the defender was wrong side and clipped Maeda’s heal, also had two hands in the back. Way more a pen than the one we got.

Woke up at 5am to take a pish, saw it was 0-0. Despaired. Seen 3 goals had been chalked off. Panicked.

Woke up the now, seem 1-0.

    An OG. Laughed

In the league phase table it shows we are the lowest ranked team that can still qualify directly for the last 16.

Points moot but if the goals had stood we would have been above Real Madrid in the table.

Nice reversal of the fortune after the freak CCV's own goal in the Brugge game.

Will have to agree to disagree, I felt he gave them loads of soft fouls and let the same go unpunished the other way and also took forever to book one of their players despite multiple fouls just as bad or sometimes worse than what Kuhn got booked for. Let them away with kicking a second ball onto the pitch to stop us taking quick throws numerous times too. That's just off the top of my head.
While we have defo had worse in Europe, I can't agree with him being "pretty good."
